Interesting tutorial video. It does keep character consistency. I also just watched the storyboarding video you have. My complaint is with midjourney, not your video. You could paste your seed in with every prompt, but even then it doesn't seem adequate to actually storyboard a film. Or you would have to keep your prompts to something like "Pencil silhouette drawing of a medium shot." The realistic renders of people aren't desirable for a storyboard. So all up and down the software doesn't quite deliver.

How do you reliably create a shot sequence in the same location with the same characters, varying between shot sizes and angles. I’m not sure it’s possible.

What you are creating are, at best, "mood boards". These are NOT storyboards. It's like something that a director might use it a treatment or a pitch, but would be useless as shooting boards.

Nice Video !!! Could you please make a video on Sketch storyboard of ertain Scene / some shots. I am a Storyboard artist looking and worried and qurious about hot to generate that sketch form storyboard. so that we all will adopt this style along with our Digital Photoshop software. if Client will / can give budget for this!!☺

wow this was the best video so far that I found to answer my question. Can I actually use midjourney to create storyboards for my scripts. thank you for answering my question. After I subscribed to mid journey I was having a hard time creating one rendered scene for my story board and I did I think 15 of them and nothing was coming out right but thanks to this video I finally got my answer, and it is very obvious that you CANNOT create storyboards with this software midjourney

If you run out of fast hours, what happens? I heard somebody say that midjourney charges you more money. Is that true? Or do they give you warning? Do they automatically switch you back to relaxed? I just don’t like any surprises 😅

You could always toggle to relax when you want to save up your fast hours, but they wouldn't charge you without warning for overuse. You could always pay for additional fast hours if needed. Right, that is not the kind of surprises we want :P

@@polyformstudioHi, thank you a lot for your response. Midjourney actually generate a tiger face with four completely different faces. No face is even close to the main source. Only a few details are somewhat similar to the added picture. I follow the method shown in your video, where I add the picture and copy the link. I also tried adjusting the chaos parameter today, but it only resulted still in four completely different generated people with maybe a small increase. No idea, maybe the picture needs a specific lightning or quality. I used an iphone 13mini. No idea.

This workflow worked fantastic with MJ4. MJ5 handles seeds differently, no new seed # with upscale, it retains previous seed #, so no progression. What do you think?

You cannot train the model like that, that's not possible, sorry to pop that bubble. Seeds are simply saying to the model to use a "fixed" set of point in the latent space, a way to initialize the model's internal state. If you are using same prompt + same seed number, your are just burning fast hours. - "Same characters" is not possible, it will always be a "similar" one. - Names matter, but not in a general sense. Try the names that generates similar faces. You can stick to adjectives as well. - To get similar ones, prefer version 4, use same seed number, do not alter the prompt too fast. - For version 5, try using one or two face portraits with seed number.

Interesting but this would be useless in film production. Each frame has a different set of kids, nothing with cam movement or anything we actually do in Storyboarding actual films

Yo Bill! Yeah I was wondering if I’d see something useable here. It is interesting, but I mostly agree. This still looks more like a very early concept phase, maybe for people with a micro budget trying to sell an idea. This would be completely impractical for a day to day storyboard job and building sequences to be pitched to a director and producers. You could add frame boxes and arrows in PS, but then it just gets into a weird area. Interesting to watch how long it dies take to get something useable. If my job becomes “prompt imputing” I’ll just quit the business or do something different. It would just be too mind numbingly boring for most visual artists.
