No - and now that I think about it, I'm having a hard time thinking of another boss that moves like him in the Megaman X series. Between that and the level design, this might actually be one of my favorite boss fights in the series.

They're goblins, apparently. The art style makes them look like stuffed toys, though (merch opportunity? I know the dev already sells hoodies) But cute as they are, they're lethal

Some games can do a lot with a small map by making it more dense. Yakuza's a good example of this. Don't know if that will be the case with this. I didn't really see enough. What did you think about the demo overall?

@@Knossig True, and I hope they pack it full of neat little events. Just being able to go around the whole map in less than a minute and only 5 minutes to go through every street and area had me a little worried about how dense it could be. However if a lot of buildings can be entered for missions, that'd end up being a lot more content. I think it had some really cool features. Being able to be a cop ranging from doing parking fines to piloting a chase helicopter was nice. Loved the chase mechanic of the longer and better you stay on their tail, the more reinforcements and gear you can call in. Actually made it feel like a proper police chase. I do wonder if there will be more ways to take people in alive and unharmed, even if lethal is warranted. Would be cool to be the legendary cop who never let anyone get away, and managed to book every single one without taking a life.

Kinda, yeah. But this one has ANOTHER dimension! It would be neat if there was a "B-Type" mode, where you had the same goal, but with parts of a pre-existing city.

It is, but I wonder just how deep it's going to go. The platforming is fun, but I was hoping to see a way that music was incorporated into the gameplay mechanics, beyond just pressing a button to play music.

Yeah - I didn't realize that Zero only had one life to live. I found out the hard way, when I got him killed on some spikes on my first streamed playthrough. It mentions that he only has one life in the manual, but that's only useful if you actually READ the manual. I did not. 🙄

Yeah, I prefer the Zero ending. Doppler saving you just doesn't seem right. But hearing Zero's theme come on as he busts through the sealing is much more satisfying.

X4’s saber is more broken tho, The first 2 slash doesn’t trigger the invincibility of the boss so you can slash twice and cancel it with a dash. It melts the bosses health like butter and you can do this at the beginning of the game
