Great explanation, I went with the p60 master just before Christmas and love it. Hose is brilliant, just wish it was a bit longer! I will check out a Kem website as always looking for something new. Thanks again

Brilliant video, I’m also from Northern Ireland! I would like to get your thoughts on what I should buy for car washing only. I can buy a p50 easy for £189 From b&q or a p60 master for £329 With loads of attachments. Is the p50 good enough or is it worth the extra for p60 master? The p60 is only 8 metre hose and the p50 easy is 12 metres. Just want the best experience of using a snow foam cannon to get the best foam and also wonder does it make rinsing the car by having stronger 145 bar pressure. Also I wonder is the p60 Master quieter! Thanks for your help

@@markhamill8016 the easy models were aimed at mostly occasional weekend Warriors but as a perfectly capable machine and shares the same connections as the bigger master or evolution models. As you say, the easy model comes with a 12 meter hose but be aware that there is fibre reinforced rubber as opposed to the stainless steel reinforced models that the master and evolution share. The biggest difference however is the AVA go and easy models use a three piston pump with a brushed motor whereas the master and evolution models share a four-cylinder pump and a brushless motor . My honest opinion is that if you buy an easy you’ll be delighted with it and you will not feel like you’re missing out however if you are washing more vehicles more regularly than I would recommend going with the master . When it comes to chemicals working with your foam, Cannon check out a-kem who are a NI best chemical manufacturer who specialise in car cleaning products?. www.a-kem.com

@@thedriverofallthings in case it doesn’t come across, this is my take on answering some of those who were arms in the air flustered that you would maybe have to prime the washer by holding the trigger to purge the pump prior to switching it on. Apparently it was triggering a lot of people who thought you should just switch it on and (in the case of the AVA P80 in particular) hope that the high amp load on startup wouldn’t cause the 13A fuse to go

I use the Puro in two ways. I mix it in with Akem Pre clean spray on the work van I have a hand spray bottle and mix 50ml of Preclean and 50ml of Puro into a 700ml bottle. I find it exceptional then for getting countryside grim off and giving protection to the vinyl graphics without causing any fade. For the snow foam I actually add some Puro into my Akem Snowfoam usually 50ml to 100ml of snow foam and the rest water in a 1 litre snow foam canister that I've bought from Akem years ago. Absolutely game changing if you have poor pressures or high lime content to help produce an even thicker foam but I find I can do a Rover 75 with 2 foams to one bottle this way. One initially for cleaning the dirt off, and then a 2nd coat for cleaning with a bucket or puro / water & glove, again one bucket this way. Goes without saying it makes a big difference and I find it much gentlier on 25 year old paints. Keep going Ross. Must get an order in.

@@chrisyson great question Chris. In this video I didn’t use filtered water, nor did I dry the car after. Usually though I will try and do a filtered final rinse to save water marks or the need to dry the car. The lazy (or maybe clever!) way out. When cleaning the wheels, I probably should have hosed the wheels off first to remove as much debris as possible but I just went into it using the wheel mitt and foam that was on the wheels already.

I am looking for 1 of the 2. After some research I also came across the maintenance videos that you need to do if you want to qualify for the 20 year warranty. The fact that the Evolution series is beautiful and everything is neatly concealed is also a disadvantage for maintenance. The Master series is much easier to open to get to the engine than the Evolution. This is one thing that is much forgotten and decisive for me.
@rossyvdp
@rossyvdp 2 ай бұрын
believe it or not, the evolution is slightly easier to work on when you have it opened up. They are both identical inside, and when it comes back to reassembly, the Evolution model seems to slot back together slightly easier!

I was looking at the Nilfisk E160 but now leaning towards a P60 Evo due to the stubby gun and longer warranty. I read that you have to service it every 5yrs with a service kit. Any idea what the cost of the kits are and what you have to swap as finding it hard to find this info? Presumably just a few seals if they expect you to DIY service.

I’ve got an evo p60, I’ve had three issues 1 the fuse in the plug has blown a couple of times and the aluminium handle for the hosereel vibrates like hell when you operate the machine also the water flow pulses when operating with the vario nozzle other than that a 12 metre hose instead of 8 would be better
@rossyvdp
@rossyvdp Жыл бұрын
Are you using an extension lead with your AVA? Very unusual for the P60 to blow a fuse Also that’s a very strange about the handle. Agreed about the hose length. I have recommended 8m for 60; 10m for 70 and 12m for the 80 series machines, but I guess that’s why extension hoses are sold

Interesting as first time I read the fuse issue in P60 and seemed to be more the P70/80 as higher ampage. I was set on a P60 Evo but will be using an extension reel as my garage socket is right at the back of the garage.

Alright mate, I've had one of these lying around in my garage for nearly 18 months now I've been scared to fit it! Seen mixed reviews about them droning over 70, are you finding this is happening with yours? I do have the CAI Eventuri filter though, this makes more than enough induction noise so I could put up with a little bit of drone, just not excessive.

sarcastixx74 hello mate. Thanks for getting in touch. I’ve got an eventuri at the front too! I find it a bit droney under 70, but from 70+ it isn’t too bad really. There’s a lovely rasp from it which still maintains the S54 sound. Just makes it deeper, louder and raspier! Mine is only a weekend car so I actually really like the noise. I have a set of decat pipes sitting nearly a year for it too that I’m debating over fitting

@@rossyvdp Ditto mate, mines is a weekend toy as well! Cheers for the info about the scorpion. I do sometimes make long trips in it and a little drone would be ok but the only way I'm really gonna find out is just get it fitted and make sure the fitters don't throw out the OEM one so I can throw it back on if need be. I'm in the middle of getting it restored with full new rear inner/outer quarter panels and one front wing before a respray so the backbox is low priority and will be done in due course. Also just found 2 hair line cracks in the subframe RACP mounting points so that's adding to the (already biggish) cost too!
