@@markhamill8016 the easy models were aimed at mostly occasional weekend Warriors but as a perfectly capable machine and shares the same connections as the bigger master or evolution models. As you say, the easy model comes with a 12 meter hose but be aware that there is fibre reinforced rubber as opposed to the stainless steel reinforced models that the master and evolution share. The biggest difference however is the AVA go and easy models use a three piston pump with a brushed motor whereas the master and evolution models share a four-cylinder pump and a brushless motor . My honest opinion is that if you buy an easy you’ll be delighted with it and you will not feel like you’re missing out however if you are washing more vehicles more regularly than I would recommend going with the master . @@thedriverofallthings in case it doesn’t come across, this is my take on answering some of those who were arms in the air flustered that you would maybe have to prime the washer by holding the trigger to purge the pump prior to switching it on. Apparently it was triggering a lot of people who thought you should just switch it on and (in the case of the AVA P80 in particular) hope that the high amp load on startup wouldn’t cause the 13A fuse to go

@@GMDetails thank you squire. For a first effort I hope it made sense to a lot of people. I get what you’re saying with the AVA but having all 3 foam cannons primed made things very simple. And I like simple! Some even say I am a bit simple 😆😆😆

@@chrisyson great question Chris. In this video I didn’t use filtered water, nor did I dry the car after. Usually though I will try and do a filtered final rinse to save water marks or the need to dry the car. The lazy (or maybe clever!) way out. When cleaning the wheels, I probably should have hosed the wheels off first to remove as much debris as possible but I just went into it using the wheel mitt and foam that was on the wheels already.

believe it or not, the evolution is slightly easier to work on when you have it opened up. They are both identical inside, and when it comes back to reassembly, the Evolution model seems to slot back together slightly easier!

You are not alone. My P80 does the same. or did the same.. it died today.. it happens more frequent with a 20 meter hose attached. no idea if it is normal..

Whatever suits your budget really. If you need truly mobile the P40 is fine - not as powerful but a truly mobile unit

I’ve heard around £45 and they supply you with a new pump which you fit your self and send them a couple of videos. They then extend your warranty for another 5 years after which you just repeat the process

@@P1Fanatic I’ve just ordered a Evo P60 today. I saw the information about buying a service pack (which includes a replacement pump) every 5 years on a YT video. Actually if you Google AVA service kits you’ll find them, I found one for £28 which when fitted gives you another 5 years.

The beauty about AVA is that they run the right to repair, which basically means that all repair parts are offered at cost price

Are you using an extension lead with your AVA? Very unusual for the P60 to blow a fuse Also that’s a very strange about the handle. Agreed about the hose length. I have recommended 8m for 60; 10m for 70 and 12m for the 80 series machines, but I guess that’s why extension hoses are sold

I plug it direct into socket with the cable fully extended, I used it today but it wouldn’t start so changed the fuse in the plug again and it was fine, my home electrics are fine as they have just been checked so I know it’s not that

Interesting as first time I read the fuse issue in P60 and seemed to be more the P70/80 as higher ampage. I was set on a P60 Evo but will be using an extension reel as my garage socket is right at the back of the garage.

@@P1Fanatic not sure what it was with the one I had maybe a Friday afternoon one, anyway Ava have now got it back to look at and I got my money back, I’m going to start using my yellow peril again until I’ve saved enough for a kranzle k7/122 ts, which to be fair is what I wanted but the price dictated me getting the Ava and certainly given the guarantee they offered

@@P1Fanatic I am quite sad about the whole scenario, on paper the p60 is perfect apart from the length of the hose, I know that my home electrics are ok having had them checked after some worm being carried out, im just wondering now if I got a Monday morning or Friday afternoon machine, either way a bad experience from your first experience doesn’t bode well, I have to say though I bought it from Slims detailing and they couldn’t have been more helpful, I was dealing with Sadie and she kept me informed of all the conversations between her and Ava, she offered me a replacement or a full refund which I took the later, im now saving for what I wanted in the first place but couldn’t justify then and that’s a Kranzle k7

The smart machines are really great too, but the difference between the Smart/Go/Easy and the larger Master/Evolution is brushed motors vs brushless

sarcastixx74 hello mate. Thanks for getting in touch. I’ve got an eventuri at the front too! I find it a bit droney under 70, but from 70+ it isn’t too bad really. There’s a lovely rasp from it which still maintains the S54 sound. Just makes it deeper, louder and raspier! Mine is only a weekend car so I actually really like the noise. I have a set of decat pipes sitting nearly a year for it too that I’m debating over fitting

@@rossyvdp Ditto mate, mines is a weekend toy as well! Cheers for the info about the scorpion. I do sometimes make long trips in it and a little drone would be ok but the only way I'm really gonna find out is just get it fitted and make sure the fitters don't throw out the OEM one so I can throw it back on if need be. I'm in the middle of getting it restored with full new rear inner/outer quarter panels and one front wing before a respray so the backbox is low priority and will be done in due course. Also just found 2 hair line cracks in the subframe RACP mounting points so that's adding to the (already biggish) cost too!
