The PC version isn't the only one using pre-rendered cinematics, the PS2 and Gamecube also use them, although they're better quality and their resolution isn't much different from gameplay and blends perfectly on a CRT screen during transitions

Square Enix is notorious for bad PC ports, so I'm not surprised that emulation is the better route.

Billy Hatcher is a treasure! I have (maybe had, I'm not sure if I still have it actually) it on Wii and it is a fantastic fun game. Not exactly the same but if you enjoy Billy Hatcher I suggest you hunt out a copy of The Munchables!

The faces are bad on all versions except for the PS2. Also PS3 version changed all of the music.

Man the Ps2 version is such a massive downgrade. But I guess if you never played it on the GameCube you would have never noticed. It still looks serviceable and captures the vibe, but side by side it looks ugly.

DXVK improves performance in some of my games like GR Wildlands ang evil within 2 (I haven't tested the evil within 1 but will definitely try) It literally solves the microstuttering issues on those games.

I think for those looking to actually play wind waker, they should go with Cemu because the quality of life improvements like the swift sail, which makes it a lot easier to explore, and the gamepad swapping and map funcionality if you're using a steam deck like I am are just irreplaceable. But these dolphin hacks make it look fantastic imo, wind waker hd wins imo just from a gameplay perspective.

Honestly... Considering that Atari and Universal have _finally continued their partnership_ and that the former owns Nightdive, anything could happen with the Riddick games. But for now, we have to make do with pirated copies of them (or physical ones if we have consoles like the Xbox Classic, Xbox 360 and PS3). And that stinks because Butcher Bay and Dark Athena were my first big boy games with adult content like violence and swearing, and by god was it good. They got me into the Riddick universe, and they still hold up as the best movie-based games that don't involve James Bond. The amount of Metal Gear Solid 2-style non-linear approaches to a linear problem encourage you to experiment and think like how Riddick himself would, and the variety of stuff you do throughout is varied and fun, even if Dark Athena leans harder into action much like the film sequels (Dark Fury and Chronicles) did.

They STILL haven't fixed Splashdown :( It runs fine for me in software mode but I would still like to be able to upscale it.

I always played the GC version. It was the version I started with and ultimately stayed with. I fiddled around with the ps2,Wii, pc, ps3 versions but they just didn’t feel the same to me. I guess I’m just a sucker for nostalgia. I cannot tell you how much I played the GC version of RE4.

when I go to textures replacement it doesn't show the search directory?

when i click on properties for the game and then go too graphics and then texture replacement theres no search directory only the boxs to tick, but when i go to graphics on the main pcsx settings there is a search directory, ive put my texture replacement into the pcsx2 directory but nothing working, anyone able to help?
