I so love it when y'all white Jamaicans embrace y'all Jamaican culture and publicly accept Jamaica. I live in the Bahamas and most of these white Bahamians are so Americanized they act so stush n proud like Dem better than their native Bahamians. Yes some embrace it but the majority they still have this colonial concept so big up unnuself mi Jamaican white people don't lose unnuself wi a one Jamaican. Respect ❤

My family are from St Vincent and None of them lost their accents (some sound like the just arrived in the UK even though they've been here 60+ years, I was born in the East end of London but never picked up the "Vincy accent", but I had no issue understanding what I was hearing and could put it on if necessary (but i never fake it) etc..I think maintaining and being natural is 100% important. I love watching your videos as they remind me of being little and listen to family get together around someones house. Plenty of food and drink and loud talking. No matter who you visited there was always food.

I never knew the St Vincent accent was affectionately called Vincy. That's great. I am so happy that my videos are nostalgic for you. Enjoy and thank you for your support @BrianFraser 🙏 😊

@@CountryWhiteJamaican The accent is pretty much the same as yours with a little less patois. But if i shut my eyes and listen to you, all i can here is the ladies when they were, catching up on news etc - like when you and Koren get together 😂 - it so refreshing and brings back good memories.

No one is surprised when African peoples, Indians, Arabs, Chinese, for example, speak English, worship a blue-eyed ''Jesus'', eat Euro food, take Western Medicines, name their babies after famous or prominent Europeans, get an English education, wear Euro clothing, etc, etc. So why be surprised by Europeans with a Caribbean accent?

I'm so pissed!!! They raised the price of Solomon O Grundy to 15 dollars when it was 6 dollars 5 years ago, and on top of that they made the bottle smaller. I am tempted to stop eating it. These f*****g people!!! Too bad I've been addicted to it since I was a child. Excelsior water crackers, butter not margarine, and Solomon O Grundy on the crackers after you butter it. It's the Jamaican caviar as it's know in the underground.

Yep, been to this dumpling place many times. The one where they make it in the window. Took my roommate there and we ordered a hundred dumplings. The lady kept asking us if we wanted it take out. I said no, bring it to the table (She brought 10 sometimes 20 dumplings at a time). Didn't know they had lamb, I love the taste of mutton so much. We got a hundred beef dumplings that day, but I'll be trying the lamb next time for sure. Either way, I ate 60 dumpling and my roommate had 40. He still paid for 50 dumplings even though he only ate 40. That is what he ordered, so that is what he paid for. He had planned to eat 50 but when he got to around 30 he started struggling. I boxed off those last 10 off for him as a favour. I don't know what they put in that meat or it's because it's so crispy why it taste so good. After I'm done I usually go next door and grab a few Vietnamese sandwiches to take home, and also some Moon cakes from the underground supermarket. Don't ask me where it is, if you know you know. 👅👅👅 💦💦💦

@@CountryWhiteJamaican I don't know if those underground supermarkets have the tamarind balls treats but some of them do. When I say underground it's not just a metaphor in all cases, (secret, they are actually below ground, so you have to go down stairs to get to them). The sesame seed and peanut and honey treats don't miss either. They're not only in the China town stores/supermarkets but also in the Jamaican grocery stores too around Scarborough and North York too. Someone just stopped me on the way to the subway station yesterday to ask me directions to Danforth food market. This one is below Finch west on Keele, 2 minutes walk from Walmart and a 10 second walk from No Frills. They are always sold out of Solomon O Grundy and they sell it really expensive!!! How much did you pay for yours form that store, please let me know??? Good wishes CWJ ... I love your stuff!!! Keep contenting. Also what is your twitter/Insta. If you don't have one you should get one!!! Take care and good wishes.

I am pleased to know that the white Jamaican lady had a positive experience living and growing in Jamaica. I am a black so called British national. I wish I could say the same.. I experienced preduice, unfair treatment exclusion inability to climb the corporate ladder, even rejection when I applied to go to university 🎓 as a mature student. With much more bad experiences to include, being rejected when I applied for my ultimate dream job!! I was accepted and completed the training, but wasn't allowed to work, based on the colour of my skin..

This makes me so angry and sad at the same time. The world is messed up. I'd say it's their loss because they missed out on your brilliant mind and all that you could have brought to their organization but you are the one who endured all that was meted out to you. I am deeply sorry that this has been your experience. Thank you for openly sharing. This needs to be exposed for what it is and rooted out . One love my friend ❤️

Jamaica is a very violent country and many Blacks constantly kill eachother all the time. Some are cool though - but you just have to be very careful when you travel out there. They are actually descended from West Africans slaves in particular Ghana. Ghanaians are much more polite and well mannered than Jamaicans and i certainly have personal experience of this on many occasions both in a work environment and in a public environment. So I diageee with the lady in the video. But Black people are certainly the original people of the planet as taught by Malcom X (pbuh). As a student of Malcom X (pbuh) i hope that the Blacks in Jamaica will learn to stop killing eacother and unite together. Until then, i cannot respect the violent culture and lifestyle of many Blacks in Jamaica.. But i encourage Jamaicans to study the teachings of Malcom X (pbuh) as i feel it will benefit them greatly in terms of improving their behaviour towards each other and also to other people like me. Finally, the original people of Jamaica were a type of Asiatic Black people - LIKE ME!

I truly admire your story, but I feel compelled to share my perspective. As a white person, Jamaican or not, you do have certain privileges that others might not. It’s a reality that can’t be ignored. However, it’s important to remember our national motto, "Out of Many, One People," which reminds us of our unity and shared humanity despite our differences.
