🌟 Welcome to Country White Jamaican's KZbin Channel! 🌟
Join us, Country White Jamaican and Koren, two Jamaican women who took on Canada 8 years ago, as we hilariously dive into the rollercoaster ride of culture shock and language differences that awaited us in the Great White North.
🎉 In this light-hearted and laughter-filled collaboration, we're sharing our personal experiences, anecdotes, and side-splitting encounters with Canadian culture.
🤣 Our stories are relatable to all our fellow Jamaicans in the diaspora who've embarked on the journey of becoming "Canadianized." For that matter this can apply to Jamacans in any country other than our island home. Whether you've perfected your Canadian accent or still can't wrap your head around the weather discussions, you're not alone - we've been there too!
🌍 So, if you're a Jamaican living abroad or just curious about the adventures we share, don't forget to hit that 'Subscribe' button and ring the notification bell to join our diverse community! Get ready to laugh, reminisce, and bond over the hilarious cultural encounters that unite us all.
🎥 New videos every week. (now and then, because life...I may miss a week but I try not to!)
Thanks for tuning in! Remember to like, comment, and share the video with fellow Jamaican diaspora members who understand the joys of being Jamaicans turned Canadians. Let's spread the laughter far and wide!

Nice to see this. In the 80s it was Bathurst Street in Toronto that we went to for certain items at Joyce's supermarket. Kensington Market has been there since then. I lived in Mississauga from the 70s and plenty of Jamaicans lived there and eventually the stores carried some Jamaican products. I'm in the US now and many stores have a section with Jamaican products. I go to Golden Krust regularly for Jamaican food.

This was a great video. Wonderful conversation. This is a genuine friendship. I lived in Quebec back in the 70's when I first left JA, and my dad moved us all to Canada. We lived in a little town on the South Shore of Montreal, named Chambly. There were NO Jamaicans there. Everyone except us, spoke French. On 1 weekend a month, my dad used to drive us to an area in Montreal called Atwater Street, where there were Jamaican shops, barbers, record stores, everything. I would be in heaven. I never wanted to leave whenever it was time to go back home. Cos "my people" were there.

@@CountryWhiteJamaican You know how we “Yardie” people are. We’re not afraid to go settle into parts of “farrin” where none of our fellow Jamaicans have EVER been. And open the door for others to follow behind us. 😁🇯🇲

Great conversation ladies. I have had that potluck experience as well, however my colleagues were from various ethnic groups and potlucks evolved into an international buffet ! Quite the improvement! The only leftovers were the chips and dips! I have to admit I have a problem with chicken feet as well lol. I love it in soup etc for flavour, but don't eat them. Just my preference of course. Maybe one day! Keep these great videos coming! Canada has come a looooong way in the availability of ethnic produce and ingredients in the years that I have lived here.

All those delicious fruits you’re talking about is in my backyard here in Florida. Jamaican Floridian brought Jamaica to Florida, so all over Florida is Jamaican fruit . I have soursop and guava growing. Three mango trees, Julie, Hairy, East Indian, coconut trees, banana tree, scotch bonnets, sorrel plant and a star apple tree. my neighbor has neeseberry, cane. The the other neighbor has a June plum and a tamarind tree. All these delicious fruits are all in our backyard. Next time I come to Canada, I surely will be visiting those restaurant that you mentioned. I have family all over Ontario

The fruit situation here sucks. There was a 🇯🇲restaurant I ordered from m, food sucks.I’ll wait until I visit my family in NT/NJ to eat some proper 🇯🇲food. Unfortunately, I’m not a cook.
