This ETIAS is indeed a big brother system, but on the other hand it only affects people from outside the EU. If you are inside the block there is no control on your movements, because you only need your I.D. to move around. This is another negative consequence of Brexit. If ETIAS was implemented in 2015 for example, U.K. citizens wouldn´t even know about this. By the way America already has this type of system implemented. All Europeans including the U.K. need a similar authorization to go to the U.S.

I just got back from a trip to California and upon entering they didn't look at my PP and I said 'don't you want to see it' and he said no, not necessary...Facial recognition! It only impacts people with foreign (non-EU) passports. So, not me. It will not help to combat irregular immigration at all. That is a joke. People can come in with the ETIAS authorization and then just vanish - as they already do. They can also continue to come in on small boats etc. Actually, on your illegal migration point, many people arrive through airports etc quite legally as tourists and then disappear. I actually knew a company in China that helped Chinese ladies (most in their 50's) to come to the EU as tourists or on business visas going to expositions etc. Once they arrived, they ripped up their passports and went to work as maids in established Chinese families. For certain, this goes on with other nationalities as well, but I personally know of this case. Over a decade, they sent hundreds of women, mainly to Spain. I actually do not have such a big problem with this as these people cause zero trouble and ask the state for nothing. However, it is illegal migration with an initial legal entry. It happens and at scale. Whether this new system will be efficacious or not to curb it is doubtful though.

I would not say it is right at all. Go to Lisbon or Porto and you will feel as though you are in Johannesburg. Last time I went to Lisbon, I was scared of being "culturally enriched" by one of the many diverse characters hanging around. On the food, I also cannot agree with the AI. Ww had same thing in our area. In a 3X6 foot cage outside in the hot sun and in the rain & cold. . living in shit soup for real. Took photos for animal care/control and they talked to him. He did nothing. Tqo of us had been walking him every day bcuz he wouldn't. He moved gim into the garage so no witnesses, no more walks or play fetch oe pets. Animal control got tired of hearing from all the neighbors and did nothing. A fire broke our IN THE GARAGE due to one of his Teslas charging. A neighbor called 911 and hw did get out. Owners stayed in a hotel but put Buddy in cheap doggy care facility. Many people with dogs had previously offered take gim even offered him money. NOPE. they moved. Have no idea what happened to buddy. We need LAWS WITH TEETH for dogs and LAWS WITH CLAWS for cats. They should have rights too
