Why do they dare to play around with gas and fire? Using that gas to set fire to kill grass is truly a method that surprises me.

why would you need to waste energy in cutting every 4 inches,,,,,seems to me 16 inches would be the shortest length reasonable and require 3 less cuts,,,saving 3/4 of your energy,,,,,,

I grew up near a large sawmill in Poland and both my parents worked in the offices of that sawmill. When they were sawing logs brought from areas where there was fighting during WWII they had to replace the blades several times per day because of iron shrapnel that was embedded in the tree trunks. The things they used were 4-5 blades in one frame going up and down at the same time. The saw machine was a monster about as tall as a house. I grew up with a sound and the smell of pine resin from those machines. We would buy scrap wood for fuel in our home heating stoves (the old-fashioned, European floor-to-ceiling kind covered with ceramic tiles) that had shrapnel still embedded in them and sometimes you would see marks showing busting of the teeth of the saw.
