Johnny giving jimmy page or Ted Nugent a run for their money with that solo, lol! 😜

What is Joey singing here? I understand they often strayed from the album lyrics at live performances, improvising and whatnot, so I’m not questioning why he’s doing it, just what in the world is he singing? A lot of people saying he was feeling off at this gig or he was wasted or had a sore throat or whatever, but no, he’s definitely singing something, coherently, just not the album lyrics. Dee Dee in the background seems to be mostly singing the right lines, which makes it weirder to me.

The joke is on Mr. Burns because Keith Richard's has been gone since 1987. No one has told him yet though.

Such a great scene. I love how the Ramones bash Springfield like so many other characters.

At 1:02, Dee Dee's image is really sinister, deep and dark eyes, long hair and very thin. He died and it seems like 53rd and 3rd has changed a lot. If punk died, it was due to overdose and gentrification.

My birthday brought me here (but I remember laughing my ass off every time I caught this scene/episode in the 90s).
Im surprised Burns was up to date enough to know of the Stones. He'd say something like "have the Ink Spots killed"

Fun fact: the Ramones were, as described by Wes Archer (the director of the episode), "gigantic, obsessive 'Simpsons' fans" and drummer Marky (one of the two from this scene still alive, along with bassist C. J.) called this appearance "a career highlight".

The Bridge the most impressive part of this song. It dials down the tempo and drops a bomb on the rhythm section. The "hook" that creates and destroys.
