Are you having trouble with the weight sliding over your hook? Couldn’t really tell but if so I usually put a small bead or even a bobber stopper between the hook and weight. Hopefully that helps. Nice video…

No it's a free rig. It is supposed to move freely back and forth. The trouble I had was the line tangling in the weight so it was not moving freely 🐟🎣

@@thirddayangling6962 I was having trouble with my weight sliding over hook. So I looked up some ways to keep that from happening and just by putting a bead between the hook and weight still allows the weight to move freely just keeps the weight from sliding over the weight.. Tight lines .. Keep up the good work..

You like this better than a spinning setup? The only concern I have is the 6.6:1. Bass runs to you can it keep up? I know my spinning reels can’t. 😂

Its fun with these ultra light baitcasters. The reels dont really bother me, i just adjust the drag accordingly and hang on for the ride. The fight with the fish on these setups are really fun. That said, I still love my ultralight spinning combos too

The reel is tsurinoya spirit fox i believe and that day I was using was 8 lb braid to 6 lb fluro leader. I have since changed the line on that set up and went with straight 8 lb fluro

I love that rod!! I have one I like to use for ultralight fishing as well! I’m going to have to give those horsefly’s a try, looks like a fantastic Ultralight/BFS type bait. Love that color choice as well! How deep do those canals run?

Loving bfs. We have hundreds of miles of canals. They can run anywhere between a foot deep to 10 ft in some places. This place I was fishing was in the 3 ft range

I am starting to really like the Geecrack baits. I found them about a year ago and I really like them. I just dropped a video on the bellows Gill. I also have the craw and now the stick and some flat worm. Nice catches. The ned is a great technique.

Any fish that's in the salt River. I've caught bass, bluegill, sunfish, catfish, carp,crappie, yellow bass, and striped bass
