Just played this on my PS2 on an HD TV and it was just incredible how rubbish the graphics was. I thought I was playing Roblox. Shame they can't do a remaster with up to date graphics like they've done with GTA and MGS.

I remember the Ai being really easy to beat in this game. All you had to do was was steer in front of another car, and the car that was chasing you would hit it every time. I thought I was so freaking smart as a kid.

Tbf making that tutorial obligatory was pretty fucked. Took me a good while to get past it. Very rewarding once you did though.

I first played this in '02 or '03 (I forget) but I vividly remember couldn't get out of the tutorial in the garage. Finally, My cousin came over and got me out of there. Ended up becoming a game I get nostalgic for.

The opening scene is the best badass scene ever seen in a videogame and what about the whole soundtrack? Like a real gangster movie. Absolute art on his time.

The only thing I kept on doing in this game was going to miami and jump on the bridge along with the cops in take a ride. But in san Francisco making cops fly in survival mode LOL😂😂😂

I got chills in my body. Never knew what this game was called until I ran into a KZbin short so I immediately typed it in and came across this video. The child inside me awakened and everything flashed before my eyes when I saw those shoes and footsteps. Crazy what games did to me as a kid lol

I played this game for a very long time, I didn't know that Tanner is a former race car driver and an undercover cop, it goes to show you that the undercover assignment is a dangerous assignment

Game programmers were freaking wizards back then, masters of their craft. All cars on the scene have weight to them, they react to curbs, impacts with weight shifting, they have actual suspensions and have damage. They are also aware of you, they stop, beep at you, they engage turn signals, they change lanes, stop at lights. The world is being loaded in and out of memory... How did they all do it on 33 Mhz CPU is mind boggling. Shame RISC didnt have a comeback on consoles since its doing wonders now on Apple computers. I just know todays CPUs are underutilized in many games. Also the sense of the weight of the car is better than in GTA or Cyberpunk which is just insane. They couldnt hire some better programmers for that??
