The driver game were way ahead of it's time, the cutscenes of this game was unbelievable, the car driving was was batter even Vice city after years later didn't had car driving fixed, and diver 2 was ps1 game, man what a masterpiece this game become as year pas by ❤

Today in my 30ies I think abouth the old times. We used to play that game a lot. More than the first Driver though. Our parents didn't like it because they thought it's to violent 😂 Nowadays I sometimes get the PlayStation out to get back to the old times when I was younger and had no worries. Thinking about all the shit my brother and I used to do in that sort of game like messing with the police, trying not to wreck the special cars, looking for police cars in Chicago or messing up the physics. Or screwing up on the missions 😅 Good old times they say. At least times that will never come back again🥲

What made me furious about that mission is when you would be close to the airport with a few seconds to spare, and those fucking cops would appear RIGHT THERE next to the red arrow! I'm like, "Why? I'm already there!" That shit was infuriating & just flat out ridiculous.

Omg the nostalgia, I never completed this game but I use too play it all the time it'd be nice for some remaster or remakes of the franchise especially Parallel lines, that was my favourite one. I remember this activity where you survive against the cops and I remember in Chicago I'd park right next too this wall and all the cops would hit me full speed and I'd get launched hahaha

they finally done it they made driver 2 into an arcade game (5 year old me would not know what to think when it comes to driver 2 having graphics as good as daytona or crazy taxi and almost as good as gta 3) also cant wait for both the vib ribbon, parappa the rapper, sly cooper, ratchet and clank, goldeneye and perfect dark decomp to be finished as well even though they would never port these games to steam this is the closest thing to that

I had the fat ps1 case of Drivers. Then I got the ps2 game when that came out that to me rivaled GTA but it never took off. Driver for the ps2 was a really good game and variant of a GTA. We need a need a new driver

I think Redriver makes it easier to play because, on the original console, the timer runs normally even when the framerate dips into lows where the game slows down.

Первая и вторая часть - эти игры запали в самое сердце. В них все так - как надо ! Проходил в детстве, когда они были новыми - это были настоящие детективные фильмы с возможностью водить - так казалось тогда :)) Теперь играю в ВР на DOF платформе и рулем шифтреом и педалями Fanatec в Asseto Corsa с модами :) Но когда купил стим дек - одни из первых игр, что на нем появились были Driver и Driver 2. Я немного боялся, что они уже совсем не такими классными покажутся. Но оказалось, что хоть они супераркадные, но водить и в 21 веке в этих играх - очень интересно. В детстве мы не могли пройти чертов гараж из первой части - первая миссия. И просто гоняли по гаражу в попытках это сделать, пока не нашли способ пропустить эту миссию подшаманив в файлах :)

When i was a kid didn't know english, i didn't know you can get out of the car as well why i couldn't progress the missions, so i just played crusin around until one day i got out of the car by accident pressing randomly buttons, i was shook by getting out of the car, the problem was, i couldn't find the combination buttons for a while, i was pressing everything, how tf i would know it was up dpad+ triangle

I've said it before and I'll say it again, driver and driver2 need a remaster.... Not reimagined with "wow cool Bro you did a drift, here's some points for boost" crap. Just driver how it was but with next gen graphics and soft body physics akin to wreakfest or BeamNG. Maybe smarter police AI so they don't want to smash you into a wall at 150mph all the time but that's it.

I hated that mission with a passion. I had to restart it so many times that I lost count, and I was so happy & relieved when I FINALLY beat it. Driver 2 is my favorite game in the series, but missions like "Stop the Truck," "Find the Clue," "Steakout," "Chase the Gun Man," & Lenny gets caught" REALLY pissed me off.

Certain missions would be fairly difficult (which would take a few tries, but nothing crazy 🤔😎), then go to rage inducing ones (which make you wanna break something or just turn the game off 😡🤬), and then SUDDENLY the next mission is so easy (it can be done in ONE TRY 🥴😂). In terms of difficulty, the missions in this game were on a roller coaster.

So THATS how you were supposed to “Escape the compound” in Chicago, I literally never did it the right way ever!!! I would always run to the far end of the road with the van chasing me and juke him to turn back around on the main road and have him push me to glitch between the trucks and the wall and I always escaped that way, I NEVER KNEW I was supposed to go to the far end and re-enter the compound to get around the trucks lol
