Yeah unfortunately you’ll never get what you paid if you sell. Bad for a builder good for a buyer.

I bet it is the air to fuel mixture where the REAL car has a BIG engine compared to the size of the turbo which is SMALLER than it. When you think about this and looking back to the 1:10 scale of the REAL CAR which is 1:1, the TURBO should be also SCALED DOWN to 1:10. Also recommend to consider using a PLASTIC or THINNER ALUMINUM turbo since the SMALLER ENGINE should be making smaller boost or pressure which isn't enough to turn the turbine. Hope this helps. P.S. the words that are all capitalized are just the highlights to make it stand out.

Solid engine mounts would have solved the gap issue 😆😆 I am serious.. I have solids and its not really that bad in terms of vibration. Still looks bad ass though. Reminds me of me 20 years ago. 😊😊 ANd honestly after 25+ years, I never noticed the offset. OMG like wow!!

I wonder if it will help exhaust heat from engine bay when driving? Like the front the air rams through the radiator and then flows up and out the hood.
@JovanMichaels2 күн бұрын
I imagine it can’t hurt. solid way for heat to escape the engine bay.

It sits over for a few reasons but a large number of cars are the same way. I believe the fox is 1.5 inches off center. Might even be two. Allows more room near the steering shaft.

I’m sure your off is because ur k member is lines up rite and the motor mounts are not sitting all the way up I remember timing solid mounts and I have to pry the engine mounts inn to the k member to get the to sit rite
@JovanMichaels3 күн бұрын
my mounts are sitting all the way down it the kmember slots on both sides. K member might be a hair off but it can’t be that far off. The engine is literally like 2inches off center.

@@JovanMichaels they way I’ve seen them recommend doing it it dropping plum bobs and squaring it front to back
@robertfisk83443 күн бұрын
I believe the reason they do that with the motor being off-center is so that the rack and pinion and steering can clear the motor going right through the exhaust manifold- headers. on another note what you have done with your hood looks absolutely fabulous I'm stoked can't wait to see it run keep up the good work my friend
@JovanMichaels3 күн бұрын
Yeah I read that as-well. It doesn’t look good at all in my opinion but not too much I can do besides redesign everything from the beginning. And I’m not about to take everything out again. it looks cool. Just wish it was center. Thanks for watching.
@christopherhutchinson6945 күн бұрын
Hey I don't know if you got it to work yet but the way the gears work is through a clutch. Theirs a screw on it with a spring inside .the tighter the spring the more revs needed. In your case the screw is too tight . Loosen screw and gear will change. Too tell if fuel's is rich or lean is by the smoke trail. You want a nice fin trail of smoke.
@DoyleShadduck7 күн бұрын
Dude you shouldn’t be spraying anything on your head gaskets, it’s not recommended or necessary.

Nice video but let's understand something you didn't fly to anything fly cutting is done in a mill with a fly cutter it is clean and cuts clean chips I was an aerospace machinist and build plenty of hot rods in race motors what year did was Dremel them with a pouring tool not the same hopefully you got them all around and clearanced and it will run great but sandpaper I would never touch in a boar a deburring knife or Deborah tool is much safer you leave no grit to wear out your rings and cylinder

Good job, but running those lines along the k member might not pass tech in a NHRA track. The lines could be damaged if the motor comes apart.. That is why the factory runs them along the firewall.
@oojimmyflip22 күн бұрын
If its running lean there will be virtually no exhaust on acceleration and the engine will stutter when you open the throttle, if its to rich it will spray glycerol out of the exhaust and it will be very smoky a little exhaust smoke on acceleration is a good thing it lets the engine run cooler, with more fuel flow rather than weak and hotter. I would have thought that any turbo needs more fuel as it pushes more air into the engine than a standard carb would. carb settings also depend on which percentage of Nitro your using, I always use 25%. Try googling the Manual and look up the factory settings for That R/C car, the high and low speed factory settings and start there making only tiny adjustments on the High speed needle, the factory setting for the low speed needle should generally be left alone. imagine a clock face with the 12 digits and only adjust by 5 mins at a time with your screwdriver on the brass sleeved screw on the top of the carb, anticlockwise is richer and clockwise is leaner, those factory settings would be really helpful. I recently bought a used 4.6 cc ThunderTiger Nitro Truggy with a .28 engine made 30 years ago and found the orriginal instruction manual through Google as I wanted to replace the carb seals which meant removing the needles completely to refurb them with new o-ring seals.

Out of curiosity, why the 400 vs a C4? I haven't really looked into it but if I went auto I was planning C4 w a brake.
