I was starting to feel like I am the only one taking apart everything I need for whatever is around me. I can make anything out of anything, and it seems I am not the only one lol. I spent my childhood with a huge interest in science and a family with a garage filled with supplies from their plumbing and heating allowing me to salvage everything needed for stuff like Tesla coils, Lasers, you name it and now I am in my 40s I am using those skills to actually do advanced science in the field of Acoustic and Quantum mechanics. Something I never thought possible yet some basic lasers, photodiodes and most importantly Phones and similar SoC allowing hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment to be turned into software I run on a chip. Guess those years of Programming as a child are also coming in handy now as I can program most instruments I need. GL, Love to see it. PS: Where do you salvage a basic 555 timer LOL. I can't find them anywhere and when I do they are the super tiny things that are too hard to F with.

For the loose bats of those type, take the battery out, place a thin piece of wood in and use something to make a depression in the center like a nail that has the point dulled or something. Just enough to make it now hold itself down more.

I hate that despite 555 timers being the most common IC in existence I still have spent a year or more looking to salvage one. I cant find them anywhere. At best they are tied up in other ICs and idk where I can possibly find a timer to make an oscillator.

Would you sell it? I had one as a baby and my daughter will be born in a month, would love to have her listen to the same tune as I did
