The whole market has ballooned since 2017 much due to US tech stocks. Literally everybody has seen these returns but the advice of regular investment is solid

here´s a tip for those wanting to invest soley on US stocks/instrumnets convert your euros to pounds to USD (multicurrency feature) this will rid you of exr fees

u might sell your portfolio and buy a patek phillip watch and flip it for 20 k profit to a buyer in india or dubai.😛 then do it again and again ..... but always for fx gain at point of sale.

From 11k to 17k that's the minimum range of profit return every week Many people don't realize that a strategy is simply a set of rules that an individual follows. It has absolutely nothing to do with the market whosoever.

These Vanguard global funds are being hammered by the strengthening £ which has increased 8% since Jan 2023 and is expected to increase a further 10% next year according to Morgan Stanley. For the likes of VUSA this is not good for two reasons 1) currency trend 2) rotation out of tech stocks. SP500 up 9.81% over last 6 months, VUSA ( an SP500 index fund ) up 3.48% that's mainly due to currency. Blackrock iShares MSCI world (IGWD) - which is GBP Hedged- up 7.72% over same period.

Hi, I opened a Legal and General stocks and shares,low risk, ISA two weeks ago with £20,000. Some days my balance will say I have gained £125, hours later it will say £50.Not sure what is going on or what I'm supposed to do?? Can anyone help?

@@sadie9386 hi Sadie, I assume you’ve invested the £20k, if so this will just be the fluctuations in account value based on market performance. My portfolio is a little higher risk (there are videos on the channel if you want to check it out for additional context) and sometime my portfolio can change hundreds/thousands of pounds on any given day depending on how volatile the market is, it’s normal to see fluctuations in portfolio value when it comes to investing

Hey Maria, I’m not sure on this one I’ve never had any withdrawal issues - I’d recommend getting in touch with Trading 212’s help center, you can set up a chat inside the app to get some support

Hi Mitch. Thanks for this. I'm in a similar position as a UK resident. I am trying to find ways to invest in metals and although we still have tickers like ISLN listed on the LSE, there is still the FX impact. I'm new to T212 so do you know how it can be done in the domestic currency without the FX. Also while I'm asking, has the multi-currency account on T212 made any difference and if so could you do a video on it? I am about to try and dig into now to find out if it will help. Finally the USDGBP ratio isn't looking great so I'd like to figure this out asap. Thanks in advance

Hey, FX rates do fluctuate so it’s perfectly normal, a couple of my positions have negative FX rates because the pound has increased in value against the dollar recently. It is obviously a risk to bear in mind though when investing in foreign equities that you are exposed to the FX rate difference too.

@@damiensmart8735 hi Damien, it’s impossible to say what duration is best, let alone time. I would just say do what suits you best. I personally invest monthly because that’s when i get paid, there isn’t a science behind it though in terms of selecting a day or hour to invest in the market. Hope that helps

Het Mitch, Great vid as always, just looking at Palantir and its had a huge rise (well done for riding it out for so long). Every investment advice I have read has said its well overvalued, so maybe I have missed the boat on this one. Another company I have been investing into is ACMR, I have read and been advised that this is an undervalued company so have been throwing money at that waiting for the wave. What's your views on it and have you heard of it?. Thanks Joe

Hey Mitch, out of curiosity, what made you decide on VUSA over VUAG? Been looking into it this morning and seen that VUAG is growing more than VUSA. I understand the dividends are reinvested as its acc over dist, but I imagine you are reinvesting the dividends you receive too right?

Hey Joe, when I started the VUAG wasn’t available so I’ve just been investing into VUSA and never changed, i reinvest my dividends so i get the same returns, i just have to do it manually unfortunately! Although maybe one day i might actually prefer the cash dividends to draw some income from my portfolio, so whilst it’s not ideal now i may actually prefer it in a few years time 🙂

Hey, good observation, no not particularly, I’m just trying to increase my overall allocation of ETFs in my portfolio, the stock portion ran a little wild so just trying to balance the portfolio out a little more 🙂
