These tongs are worth every penny. If you ever had to take one of these off, you know how hard it can be. No longer have to fight it with a crescent wrench.

I didn’t even know this tool existed, I’ve never noticed it at the store. I will have every size, because half the time, the orange thing is a real struggle

There’s gotta be some kind of trick. I literally have tried that orange clip and that didn’t work. Got the tool. Nope it didn’t work 3/4 times. I got one end of one out of two I was trying to disconnect and it was on cpvc. Have yet to be able to remove one from pex.

Does anyone know if this tool will work on really hard to separate shark bites or is it just a tool for tight spaces?

Good tip, bcuz those little orange horseshoe U rings can be a real struggle to work with!

If you have a set of open end wrenches or an adjustable crescent wrench those will also take Sharkbite connectors apart too.

wow i needed thst today i was head first in a deep hole trying to remove a seizd on failed 3/4" shark bite mostly encased in a foam pool floatie looking thing under a block wall foundation i tried everything eventualy i had to break a bunch of concrete shop vac water out repetedly dig deeper and when more exposed use grinder and hack saw blade because i couldent get it to remove with the clip even prying at it with tools maby that remover would have saved me alot of time also there was no room to cut behind the fitting so i realy had to save that little bit of copper that was in the shark bite

The trick - push the teeth in really hard with the orange clip, and *push the pipe in* hard simultaneously. (This should disengage the teeth) Then give the pipe a good tug while holding the clip in

I just started to use Sharkbites and I just picked up this set of tongs from Lowe's. The cost was about $10 USD. This tool could end up being the $1million tool in your tool box. Thanks for posting this video.
