Hi Vui! Thanks for commenting. We are currently in Nha Trang, but Chris got sick so we haven’t been able to get out to the Cham towers like we had planned. Hopefully we can visit them tomorrow. Nha Trang is a very busy city with lots of tourists. It’s note nearly as peaceful and quiet as Mui Ne.

We have been on quite a few trains in Europe and Southeast Asia. Indonesia has some of the best trains in the world. Traveling through Java is the most beautiful train journey we have experienced.

I'm a big fan of Lee Kuan Yew, the founding father of Singapore. The fact that he made a first world country out of a malaria-infested backwater in the middle of nowhere in the span of less than a century is nothing short of a miracle. What did you find most amazing about Singapore that you learned in that museum?
@388_days3 күн бұрын
What really struck me is the separation of Singapore from Malaysia. LKY was so committed to unifying Malaysia and Singapore in a unified multiracial way. He was so upset that this could not be achieved. They played a video where he explained that unification would not be possible and he was visually upset, even shedding tears. It was a remarkable separation. Neither of us understood the history,the politics, or cultural differences at the time so it was quite eye opening for us.

If we talk about something small and orangized, I would think about Singapore first. I guess you won't encounter many commments from Singaporeans for the videos recorded their country, like the people from the other countries did. That is how I feel about them 😂 Maybe Geylang fog porridge would not be able to fascinate you but Hainanese chicken rice is recommended. The country is still very clean as it has been.
@388_days3 күн бұрын
Yes. It was super clean. We have seen frog porridge in Malaysia as well, but we did not try it 😂. I think we were very lucky in Indonesia that we had so many people watch our videos. We are prepared for a smaller audience now. 😂😂

Thank you so much for your very nice comment. We never expected so many people from Indonesia to watch our videos. We always try to learn as much as we can when we visit a country. It’s our mission to learn about the history, culture, people, and food 😂 in every country we visit. We have a lot more to learn about Indonesia food. It is the one food we had never eaten before we visited the country so we really didn’t know what to expect. Thanks again for watching. We will continue our travels through Southeast Asia. Hopefully you will continue watching our channel. At some point we will return to Indonesia and will need help from viewers like yourself to find the best places to visit. Termina Kasih 🇮🇩🫶

I live in Chiang Mai and overall the food here is good anywhere you go. There are so many Michelin recommended places. Everybody has their favorite places to go. But these favorite places are likely to include street food and market stalls, food courts in malls, and hole in the wall restaurants down back alleys. Where else can you get a big dish of food from a Michelin recommended eatery for less than $2?
@388_days10 күн бұрын
What we love about the malls in SE Asia is the you can get some very good food at the little food stalls (usually on the bottom level), but then you can walk outside and get something really tasty by the side of the road. We just ate pork and egg broken rice in an alley in Saigon today, but we learned about it from one of our KZbin followers. We would never have discovered this place on our own. Lunch for two cost USD 4.50 and we’re super full. Thanks for watching our video and leaving a comment. Let us know your go-to restaurants in Chiang Mai so we can try them the next time we visit. Cheers! 🙏☺️

Yes. That red light was so cool. Coming from western countries, this was so unique we thought we should highlight it. Since we travel a lot, it can be difficult to plan every destination thoroughly. It was very different, but maybe a little less noticeable since we travelled East to West. Jakarta was the most modern of the cities we visited, but we should have stayed for a week rather than just a couple of days. There was more to see than we had expected.
