I have a question if you dont mind, first thank you for the video, you would be surprised on how hard it has been to find any information on these cars with the steel tank. The one hose with the male connector, where does that connect to inside the tank? The car I am working on unfortunately sat with a full tank of ethanol gas for 8 years, and all the hoses inside were extremely brittle, and Im hoping that the connector for that hose in question hasn't broken off. Thanks for any help you can provide!!

Hi! If you're referring to the male connectors on the fuel pump, start the video at the 9:10 mark, I show where the orange male goes into the fuel filter and also the green male.
@SocketDaddy
@SocketDaddy 16 күн бұрын
and there is a male port coming from the drivers side (inside the tank) that goes into the orange female port of the fuel pump. And the other male port inside the tank on the passenger side goes into the single port side of the fuel filter.

@@SocketDaddy Okay, so the hose that comes from the center port of the fuel pump splits in a Y the the left side of the hose goes to the fuel filter, where does that other side connect to the end of it is a male connector, and Im not sure where it leads to inside the tank? After sitting for 8 years in ethanol gas all the plastics were extremely brittle and Im wondering if the connector snapped off inside the tank for that right side of the Y split that ends in a Male end on your video.
@SocketDaddy
@SocketDaddy 12 күн бұрын
@@Phoxzy So the right side of that 'Y', is a female connector. The male that attaches comes from inside the tank, which is the male end.

Word of advice tools are originally ment for tire bolts lugs so you can find them there , 2nd use a metal oscillating tool cutting stainless steel , ceramic & stainless steel in middle for wire ceramic & stainless steel , grinder cutter carbon diss works perfect, , cheater bar was the original idea that's how the breaker bar was invented ,, breaker bars break n get twist , , the lesson is always use enough antizees lubricant never ever over tightened just a little hand tight heat sucks it in makes it move in & expand tightening it up

I purchased a kobalt right angle impact wrench for my 00 suburban o2 sensor. If that rounds off the bolt, I may need these extractors! 😮

I have a 2010 infinit qx56. The rear latch works 30 percent of the time. I had the dealer replace the rear lift gate motor and labor which cost $1800. It never worked right even when I paid to fix it. I had it Back several times and the problem still exist. The door latch seems to work when the gate is on its normal path so I didn’t think it was the latch motor. Would a faulty latch motor cause these problems?
@SocketDaddy
@SocketDaddy Ай бұрын
Hi! So if it's not latching on when it closes, either sometimes or always, then yes it's most likely the latch motor, as shown in this video.

When installing the plugs, be sure to turn them counterclockwise first until they "seat". Once they get seated, turn them clockwise. This will avoid cross-threading them. Great video - have to do my car.

You'll see what i'm talking about in the video, but instead of using a flat head screwdriver to loosen and tighten the bracket on the fuel filter, it looks like you can alternatively use a 10mm (not sure of the exact size) socket, which should make it much easier!

help, but not too much for me. I ended up with the mechanic, and I did everything with no luck...the last option was to put down the muffle unfortunately I didn't have time to do that by myself and take it to the mechanic who charged me $160.00 dls. not bad ( take off the stripped 2OSENSOR AND PUT DOWN ALL the muffle of MY CHEVY TAHOE 2003) I think it worthed for the job

Last ditch effort. I prayed, asked Jesus to give me wisdom. Short while later I thought. " tie rachet strap end to pipe wrench, then ratchet to a tree in front of my car... backed up slowly. 😢 It came lose, thank you Jesus, after one week struggling, then rounded the nut, near ready to give up.

i'm dealing with the same thing, only upstream and having to fight with the pipe on one side and a torsion bar on the other, with only 3 inches of wiggle room. Completely rounded off the sensor with a sensor socket. ugh
