In the list of standup where Stewart Lee finished 41st, the top 10 included Peter Kay, Harry Hill, Victoria Wood and Ross Noble. Not to disparage any of them, but if they are the top 10, then Stewart Lee should have expected to be placed at most 65th.

For my money he _was_ #40 in about 2005/06, until he got complacent and let himself go. Sadly this did not go unnoticed by the supreme arbiters of comedy at Channel 4, who summarily relegated him by one. And quite right too.
