I'm a long time lake Erie fisherman ( 50+ years ) WD40 has been used for a long, long time around here. Was told by my dad that one of the chemicals that makes up wd40 was outlawed for fishing back in something like the 1940s. can't remember the chemical's name, probably wouldn't be able to spell it anyway

We're not free citizens any longer. We are subjects of a despotic, oppressive, out of control government.

My bait tank is also outside. I am starting to get algae in the tote. Any idea on how to control this issue?? Tank is in the sun 1/2 the day.

It has been 25 years now, but we used to catch fish with ivory soap. I have think he is in a bad location. And I would run the line across the channel.

I knew somebody else had to have had the same idea. If I may add something, I bought clams with the juice and put them in my blender and blended a purée. I fish for Blue cats so my chunks were bigger anywhere from an inch and a half to 2 inch chunks, but I put them in a Ziploc baggie and pour the clam purée over and let that marinate really good overnight. It is the way to go. Another idea I had was to go with gizzards for the obvious reason. It's also easy on a budget. I don't know why more guys are doing this. I can't believe it. Anything that will eat those shells after their butt hole is cherry red from pooping those things, knowing you've got to poop more of them? That is a food they love.

Old video, but I love flatheads. I only keep 10 lbs and smaller. All the bigger ones, I turn loose. I do the same with all catfish species. Keep the eaters and throw back the larger ones.
