Got a great look at the cover to Land That Time Forgot, but no word on who painted it. It's gorgeous. By Richard Hescox, maybe?

I love the new Conan comics. But I have to say I have been very disappointed and savage sword.. It was nowhere near as good as the main comic. I’ve tried to give it a fair shot. And I actually disliked this month. I think they should fire everyone involved with savage sword,. And either give it to the same people the people working on Conan barbarian. Or a whole new team.. if they keep pushing out the substandard stuff. Will begin to affect. Conan’s main. Book. And since I’m hoping to see more titles. Like. King Conan, kull, Solomon, Kane, .and if they can get the right Rad Sonia someday.

I would like to see a continuous Conan story over multiple issues in this magazine format- not just one and done. They need to get their act together on the printing too- poor quality for the cost.
@HobbiesofaMan14 күн бұрын
This is definitely the best issue of the magazine so far. I think the cover stock needs to be thicker, it feels sooo flimsy. I agree about the font size for the John C Hocking pages, it was so small! The printing issues are a problem, but it seems like it's getting to be less and less of a problem as it goes on so hopefully we get a problem free issue of the magazine soon.

Awesome! That Bulletproof looks amazing and those 3 3/4 figures really open up the opportunity for vehicles. I am loving the fact this line is finally getting some attention. I loved the show and the comic. An HD release of the show would also be great. Thanks for the updates.

So looking forward to Bulletproof. Design looks awesome. Very disappointed by the drawing of Longarm though... If the figure looks like the drawing, it's a pass for me and I'm sad to say it because it's my second most awaited figure in this line. I would prefer them to make it muscular likes its anime and toy versions. Can't wait also for Mc Boomboom. This toy line marked me as a child and the toys were of a great quality.

Expecting my copy of issue #12 to arrive today! What a great year it's been for Howard fans. I'm was slightly skeptical with Savage Sword after my initial disappointment with issue 1, but issue 2 was an improvement (still a bit below par in my opinion) With issue 3 out next week things are looking good. (Gary Nord!!!) Very excited for the Black Stone comic in the autumn too. The Jonas Scharf art looks fantastic! I also think the Jeffery Shanks essays are an important part of the comics too (especially for newbies) Anyway, here's to the next year....and the one after that.....

** Potential Spoilers** They way the Kull plot line wrapped up, do you foresee a potential Kull standalone series branching off from this point? I think it would be fascinating see a Kull comic set in a world where he knows of Conan and the events that occured with Thulsa Doom. I think it is ripe with potential for new and unique stories that pay homage to the past but explore these new modern implications Jim Zub has brought. What do you say @conanthebarbarianofficial, limited 6 issue run to test out the waters?
@Dude_on_a_Map22 күн бұрын
That’s what I’ve been hoping for all this time is for Titan to give Kull his own series. I also would like Solomon Kane to continue in his own magazine format like Savage Sword. I know it’s a lot to hope for but hey who knows.

I recently watched your guide to the masters of universe video and came across this one. First I want to say thanks for the video! And based on what you’ve said I’m mainly trying to get into it because I’m interested in he-man since my dad used to watch it when he was a kid. Where do you think is the best place I can start for watching and reading? It seems a bit confusing to me because I’m understanding that masters of the universe is not just he-man. I’ve seen some shows on netflix that are available and this masters of the universe revolution issues you are covering, should I start here or what would you recommend for someone starting and interested in he-man?
@ToddLuck22 күн бұрын
So each animated series is a different version of the mythos so you can jump on with any of them. The modern animated series is "Masters of the Universe Revelation" followed by "Masters of the Universe Revolution", so that's a fine place to start. Both of those have self-titled comic miniseries that flesh out their backstory and the other Masters comics Dark Horse has been putting out tend to be set in the Revelation/Revolution Universe. I always recommend the Mini-Comic Collection from Dark Horse if you're interested in the older stories in the franchise, since it introduces most of the characters and concepts, and covers most of the different versions of the mythos throughout the years. If you interested in the older animation: The 1980s "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" Filmation cartoon is all self-contained episodes and a lot of them are on KZbin. The 2002 "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" series (by Mike Young Productions) is more serialized, but all of it is on Amazon Prime. There were two other attempts at a He-Man cartoons: "The New Adventures of He-Man" (which is on Peacock) had more a sci-fi slant in the future and the recent CGI "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" on Nexflix that was a sci-fi reimagining of He-Man for younger audiences.

It's writers and artists like this that Tarzan needs!

Lord of the jungle failed because it wasn't anything truly new. I've been a fan of ERB since 1970, if not before. I bought first two, but didn't bother for more. That's a problem! Much like the newer books they're publishing. They need better writers and keep it old-fashioned and old-school, not adding Victory Harben and all these newly created family members.

Much better than all the other recent writers. But no apes?! Especially at the last battle back on earth. This was a HUGE issue.

I hate when I hear company's like Sony spouting a 'reimagining' of Tarzan. That usually doesn't bode well. Why someone in Hollyweird doesn't see the HUGE attraction to filming Tarzan at the Earth's Core?! Jurassic Park movies make billions. So why not make that film, or Pellucidar novels?
@jadapandy26 күн бұрын
Hate Victory Harben!
@jadapandy26 күн бұрын
The cover is, unfortunately, the best part of this book. The only writer that does ERB justice, is Will Murray. All the others are chock-full of unwanted or needed nieces, nephews, cousins, etc.... Just the first chapter is full of mistakes in concept and overall prose.
