Pull right out... MY FOOT! Lol. I had to yank the living daylights out of mine. A bit of calcium deposit was acting like RTV around the o-ring. I better replace that too. The fun never stops!

I believe it was a maxisys ms906, I no longer work at the shop that had this tool.

I'm not sure yet, i have not seen any yet as most are still under warranty. Accessing the diagnostic system on 2018 newer Rams requires diagnostics scanners that are capable of connecting with auto auth which is a new security feature ram as implemented into their vehicles.

I'd just tried this for the 2020 RAM 1500 Rebel, it doesn't work. Doesn't have the Update Threshold option and my Maxisys is up to date too

What info is needed to get the 4 digit pin? Do u have to call dealer to get it

You need to go to a dealership with proof of ownership to get it(registration and ID). Documentation indicates its supplied with the vehicle when its originally purchased..

Jacob Taft ok , just trying to figure out what I’ll have to ask them for Incase they’re not sure what I’m talking about . Like is it a 4 digit pin for just the bcm or is it a generalized code for all modules on the vehicle . Also any idea if an autel 808 would be capable do changing thresholds

you saved me some anguish. had the MIL come on today while on a cross country trip and was so worried about it. had installed an OBDLINK mx just this week. Got out the pc and found the codes, cleared the MIL but it came back on. I was going to search for a Ford dealer in the morning but found your video just now. We have a cooler plugged into that port. now that I know I will clear the MIL and not plug in the cooler anymore.

I have a 2015 dodge ram 2500 and the dealership just told me to pound sand basically... I live near reading PA.. Do you know.of anywhere local that can do this? What's the exact type of scanner? Maybe I'll just get 1.

The scanner in the video is an Autel Maxisys Ms908.

This is only the first portion of it. You have to then go to the RFH and reset it through the Autel and that is where your truck will ask for the 4 digit PIN number. Once that’s done your TPMS warning light will be gone

This vehicle just needed a new timing belt the old one was stretched... I believe we changed the water pump and tensioner pulley and spring at the same time.

Thanks for this valuable info man. As soon as I heard you say aftermarket cooler or fridge, I literally laughed. That's exactly what I was using today driving my 2 year old around to keep our drinks cold. I pulled all the same codes and started freaking out. I though maybe my S&B intake caused something. Thanks again for sharing this to everyone so they can save money if they are out their warranty.

I'm not sure, it really depends on your skill level. the labor guide calls for 4 hours 15 minutes to replace the water pump, I would say for someone that does not do this kind of work day in and day out probably a weekend project.

Hi, I would love to post a video on the timing belt portion, if I get another one in for the job. The main reason for this video is Kia never posted the removal instructions of the water pump once the timing belt is off... the instructions for the timing belt are available I could send you the information if you would like...

Some tensioner pulleys can be bought seperate from the tensioners. This one was for a lexus is300 and it only comes as a complete assembly. The price just varies from vehicle to vehicle.. if I remember the repair for this vehicle was around 250 parts and labor.
