2003 Kia sorento water pump, after t-belt removal

Removing the water pump after timing components are removed.

Pull right out... MY FOOT! Lol. I had to yank the living daylights out of mine. A bit of calcium deposit was acting like RTV around the o-ring. I better replace that too. The fun never stops!

thank you@@jakewrxdrift . i just did the belt removal and seals and thought i was almost done. this pump is a whole nother job. the kia factory manual sucks. the cheap haynes one is better.

I'm not sure, it really depends on your skill level. the labor guide calls for 4 hours 15 minutes to replace the water pump, I would say for someone that does not do this kind of work day in and day out probably a weekend project.
