1) That mini-snip is cutting through a thin wire. Good luck cutting through a screw with that! 2) That's a wood saw, not a hacksaw. 3) That's a jigsaw with a wood cutting blade, cutting through wood! not a metal cutting blade, not cutting through metal. 4) That's a circular saw, not a reciprocating saw. Again, not cutting through metal, let alone a screw or nail. 5) Wanna show us what an actual bolt cutter is and not just the bolt?

this saw was good in the days, i think first versiones are around for decades i bought it, but i wouldnt buy it again. weak shoe adjusting angle and depth is a nightmare comparism to others, especialy when its a bit older you are better off in other brands dont understand whats so hipp here, why its called a in depth revue. no tests, no comparism to other saws, no precision angle or depth cuts and so on ... and so on and what is so wonderful that it comes in a bag... dont believe it

Funny because I'm shopping for one and was saying that to myself: "seems old tech". What would you recommend as of today? I know Makita is well regarded but at that price point it's a 5007 variant and it's also old stuff.
@berndeikers8924
@berndeikers8924 Ай бұрын
@@guillaumepare9651 well its not so easy to say. old design is not the problem - weak construction is the problem. dont understand me wrong. this saw will do a lot of jobs and it will do it well, as long as you know what you are doing. a handheld circuit saw is one of the most dangerous tools around. so things can get quickly out of control. and the after spin is the least of your problem. i am very happy with makita 5008mg, more pricy yeah - but what a different in every way

..There is absolutely NOTHING "Pro" about ANY current, or even recent,"Poulan Pro" saws...they are ALL inexpensive, cheaply built homeowner saws, with LOTS of plastic..will they cut wood?..yes, but they are not durable or efficient, and are underpowered..I think the 5020 is their "biggest" saw, at a measley 50cc..and they have FAR too much bar and chain on them...a 20" full size 3/8 is overkill for any 50cc saw, it would be much more efficient with an 18" .325 setup...and really, many Stihl and Husqvarna saws are now cheaply built hunks of plastic, especially the small displacement 35-45cc models..and in fact, the cheapest Husqvarna saws are re-skinned Poulans..now you want a REAL "Poulan Pro"?..they actually did used to make pro models, which were mostly re-badged Pioneer and Jonsered/Partner designs..the Poulan Pro 655BP is a REAL muscle saw....

can you adjust the shoe so that the blade is 100% parallel with the side of the shoe... so you can use a guide for precise cuts

I’ve got to comment since most of the comments read seem to be bias. I’ll start by saying im a lineman and have used primarily STHL at work for 15 years. I never thought they were the best and only somewhat reliable. Which is very important in my work. At home I’ve had a poulan pro pr5020 that I have beat the sh*t out of for 4 years on my 12 acres. Oak, madrone, manzanita, pine. I did upgrade it with a new bar and chain off the bat. I drilled holes in plastic near air filter and one in the exhaust that gave me better performance. I would never buy any name brand for 2x 3x the money. Im heading to get my second pr5020 because I know it can handle 4 years of hard work and abuse. For anyone saying it’s garbage, I believe that is strictly the user and lack of knowledge of using a chainsaw.

Wooden diy arrows? Triple legged chair? Kids wants to make toy cars planes and so on. I built with kids everyday aint no way they would ever want to build anything from this. Kids wants to make something on their own to be proud of. How would a kid be happy with a Utensil Organizer caddy? Just the next one. A circular shelf. An adult wouldn’t even know how to make that if he wasn’t a carpenter

I've trashed 2 Poulan chainsaws in the past. I only buy Stihl, Echo and am also adding a Husqvarna 435 X Torq soon for a lightweight limbing saw. You get what you pay for and in my experience you spend more time working on the Poulan keeping it running than you do cutting with them. They also are only rated for 50 hours service life and are homeowner grade. It's not going to last and is disposable junk compared to a Stihl MS-391 and Echo CS-490. Nowhere near as good as a Husqvarna 435 X Torq either.....
