How long does the job take? Are two guys needed?
@FirstTimersChannel17 күн бұрын
Two guys recommended, I'd say the job takes about an hour or less with two people. If you have good paint and you're doing this yourself, just take your time and make sure the paint is protected.

@FirstTimersChannel That's what I thought. I was in the Hospital in a coma & most of my tools were stolen! They took my keys,made copies & began to rob us one sock ,fork & small pieces at a time. You don't know something is missing until you need it. Turns out they put cheap hidden cameras in my house so they knew our every move. A lot to deal with while battling stage 4 spinal/Renal cancer! I'm going to be at everything! Thanks for the help & GOD BLESS 🙏!

@FirstTimersChannel Do you know if it's possible to torque the caliper bolts with the wheel on??? (On the ground) . It's REALLY difficult to get up and down now. Thank Goodness I'm as tough as a $2 steak!
@FirstTimersChannel9 күн бұрын
@CZECHMATE650 While the car is on the ground, I would say it's not possible. You would have to get behind the wheel with a torque wrench and use an extension since the wheel is on. It's just much easier to jack the car up, put the car on a jack stand, and remove the wheel. I recommend doing things right or taking the job to a shop or professional. Brakes are important.

I bought the Mr. Gasket #5657 universal throttle cable kit. Mine had no problems at all. I could tighten it down snugly without any problems and the hole was centered. I did have to buy 2 stainless steel fender washers because the little washers they supplied were too small. Their little washers would hold it in place but didn't cover the corners of the square hole on my firewall. I used 3/8 fender washers but 8mm would have fit nicer. Cheers!

IMPORTANT QUESTION. Does this affect the speakers volume and sound quality??? I have the old JBL radio in my 2010 and it’s very loud and I’d like to keep it that way.
@FirstTimersChannelАй бұрын
This stereo made the sound quality way better! The volume was the same, but I also didn't have the JBL system, so I can't speak for that.

The idea here is to get the brake/tail light off of the stock rear cowl and instead mount it to the subframe?
@keithmatthews78682 ай бұрын
No, I guess not. It just does this for the plate. Know of a way to do the same for the tail light?
@FirstTimersChannel2 ай бұрын
@@keithmatthews7868 Hi there and thank you for your question! This was a license plate tail tidy custom made by a Hawk forum member. This one came from one of his last batches that I was begging him to make. I would imagine, if you can get a custom tail light, you can get it to mount somewhere on one of these if you have one. Otherwise, it's main design purpose is to remove the stock rear fender and make it a cleaner look for the license plate and turn signals.

Where to get the hinges? Can you tell the price for each hinge please TY

Do you think those hinges Can be Repair instead of buying them?
@FirstTimersChannel3 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for your question! We bought the hinges off of Amazon at about $50 each. Got the OEM part. The links are in the description of this video. Unfortunately, don't think they can be repaired as it would be hard to align them properly. It would be easier to just replace. Hope this helps!

do you know if the door handle (where the silver cover) can be taken apart?
@FirstTimersChannel4 ай бұрын
Im assuming you are referring to the door panel on the inside. That silver part pops off so you can access the screws behind it in order to remove the door panel.
@ChiHoKo4 ай бұрын
@@FirstTimersChannel yup that part, but wondering if the handle (that the silver panel attaches to) can be separated out from the whole door panel. the leather on mine is coming off and wanted to know if I can take that apart to rewrap the leather

@FirstTimersChannel5 ай бұрын
Dealerships don't want to waste time cutting each bushing out so I can understand that they would rather just change out the entire subframe. It took me a VERY long time to do this. Any shop would lose money if they changed each bushing out.

Can you remove roof without removing the glass?
@FirstTimersChannel2 ай бұрын
Apologies for the delayed response. It can definitely be done, but I would recommend removing the glass if you're doing all the work yourself. Leaving the glass in would essentially turn the job into a large patch job. You’d need to cut the metal around the windshield and rear glass to use those areas as attachment points. The tricky part is ensuring the roof maintains its proper shape after cutting and reshaping the metal to match the new area. Keeping the shape while welding is also very tricky and will take a lot of time. Again, recommendation would be to remove the glass and do the full replacement.

I'm going to have to do it myself. How long did it take you to do both sides? I'd like to have any pointers you can give me!?? PLEASE??
@FirstTimersChannel17 күн бұрын
@CZECHMATE650 The hardest part, I would say, is holding the hood up while lining up the brackets. Since you are doing this yourself, maybe put the hood on a towel on the opposite end to lift and protect the corner from damage as you try to mount one side. Don't fully tighten the bolts on the hood so that once you have both sides bolted down, you can line them up, then tighten down. That's all I can really think of. Good luck, and thanks for commenting!

Have you noticed a big performance difference from stock jetting with TBR to rejetting with pods & TBR? Did you rejet to stage 3?
@FirstTimersChannel6 ай бұрын
Not a big difference with stock jetting and the TBR. There was a significant difference after re-jetting to stage 3 with pods and the TBR. Unfortunately, we didn't do the changes one at a time. It was TBR exh first, then we did the jets and pods at the same time.
@swordfish11206 ай бұрын
@@FirstTimersChannel Thank you for your reply. Does the stage 3 upgrade consist of exhaust, pods and replace main and idle jets in carbs?
@FirstTimersChannel6 ай бұрын
@@swordfish1120 Sure thing! The stage 3 jet kit consisted of just the jetting in the carbs. To utilize the full benefits of this mod, it's best to add the intake air pods and an exhaust. There are different jetting for the setup you wish to achieve.

I've had my genie "expressions" model for years. It works, but you really have to shove the bag down the hole as the spring loaded trap door is right at the top. I also found a genie "complete" in the trash that another video showed me how to fix. I believe it's easier to use because the trap door is a bit lower, not so much spring loaded, and it's also bigger with more capacity.
