I fixed one for a customer last week. Ended up using contact cement and a staple gun. They were happy.

This is crazy, same thing happened to my 2016, I thought it was just a fluke, but it's pretty sad that this has been an issue for this long and Dodge hasn't fixed it 🙃 It happened to me over the summer. I came out to my car and both sides were like peeling back. I didn't know if it was just from the heat, I guess it's good to know that I'm not the only one though. I was detailing my car today and was going to try to dive into that issue finally and I wanted to take a peek and see if anyone else had the same problem. Thanks for the video guys!

Did first timers have complete success with this? We were thinking of trying to fix my 2016 but if it eventually happens again according to your results I might take to an interior professional

It is still holding. But if you are looking for a show quality look then I would take it to a professional.

i used a heat gun first and relieved the tension on the plastic so there's no popping back up....... then used an epoxy good to 150 degrees . better than spending a fortune on door panels

Dodges are POS. my daughter unfortunately wants a charger and every one that I have looked at has his this problem. I wish she didn’t want a dodge but it is what it is. I suppose I’ll have to fix the door panels on any car we get her if it is a charger or dodge of any type

I did this. It lasted a week or do, but it eventually came loose and went right back to how it was...☹️

Sorry to hear! It wasn't as easy of a task as we had hoped. Replacing the panel is more likely the end goal but it was worth a try to fix! Getting the glue in all the spots and clamping the panel down securely was the hard part.

@@FirstTimersChannel since heat caused it to warp, I wonder if heating it with a heat gun to cause the bend to stay, and THEN gluing it would work?

@Manuela Melton It's worth a shot! The concept sounds like it would work or make sense since heating it would cause it to be flexible in a sense. Then you glue and clamp it down to hold while it cools in form. If you do this, let us know how it goes!

I bought a $30 air staple gun from Harbor freight and borrowed a compressor, but you can probably rent both for under $100 from a local tool place. I looked it as a big big savings compared to the $1400+ that a dealer would charge to replace the panels. Get a small can of flat black spray paint to paint the staples when you're done and nobody will notice a thing.
