Jason Dronin Around's channel has a video with nice imagery from about July 20/21 showing the full length of the viaduct in a basically uncut five minute pan, with pause to orbit over the railroad crossing section to see the column work and the work over SR198 preparing the deck forms for future rebar placement.

As someone living in Fresno I really want to experience the whole thing built from northern to Southern California. However I watched one of the board member meetings and they are worried about funding if Trump is elected
@AmpereBEEP5 ай бұрын
It is a serious concern for the project as the Trump Administration has already set a precedent that they will pull funding away from the project like they did in 2019. I really am hoping that it never comes to that point, but it is definitely a concern.

@@AmpereBEEP not just that, but also the Republican effort in Congress to cut CA out of any more federal HSR funding. Hopefully that doesn’t come to pass either, or Democrats don’t bend to it in order to get any federal HSR or transit funding bill passed. On any plus side, if CAHSR were to no longer receive any more federal funding, CA could fund Merced-Bakersfield on its own and get trains running by 2033, and potentially to SF and LA although that likely would take a few decades.

If I can make a suggestion, it would be great if you could mention which CP each project is part of and roughly where it's located (distance to closest town). I understand that this is probably a ton of extra work, but I think it would really make the videos a lot more accessible to the people who are newer to the project and drive more views.

@danielcarroll33585 ай бұрын
At this time a billion a year comes from carbon trading. If the feds give as much money for this as they do for roads we will get there, if slowly. And that money doesn't come from gas taxes as the fed tax hasn't been raised in a quarter of a century.
