$2500 non refundable is ridiculous and should be illegal. Your reason does not make sense, if you can afford a $300000 thousand dollar car, you are not going to put money aside to time your purchase.

good video and thanks for showing the Comp yellow. Not many people have those out yet. Mines the same stuck in 3000 still.. The only difference is I could not do the yellow stitching or the seatbelt because they didn't match and that would drive me crazy. I have no idea why GM left those alone. Simple color change Im sure the vendors would do for free. So now Im going to have install/ mark up to get things to match. lol

That’s the problem, too many corvettes. If you’re going to make 6 gazillion corvettes then you can’t charge $200,000 for the Z06. You just can’t . People who pay $200,000 for a car EXPECT the car to hold its a for longer than a week.
@G-Rated3 күн бұрын
What are you talking about? The worth of a mass produced high performance vehicle doesn’t go down because it’s mass produced, but it can go up depending on how bad a customer wants it. The manufacturer sets a MSRP for a reason, anyone that pays above that are sending a message of the vehicle’s actual worth. To say Chevrolet can’t charge $200k for a Ferrari competitor is absolutely delusional.

Good video, very true to life. We are very happy with our Lyric great always having a full tank (80%) every time you leave the house. We've talked to other EV owners and universally they praise Petro Canada fast chargers as being well priced and in service. We received a $750 FLO charger credit when we purchased the vehicle, and are considering driving Toronto to Phoenix return for an adventure and to use up the credit. We are trying to understand what machines accept the FLO credit in the US but it's difficult to figure out. We were dismayed to see apps like my Cadillac and Charge Hub estimate the total charge expense to be around $1200 Cdn, that's more than twice it would cost to do the trip in my V6 gas engine SUV, still we're liking the idea of using super cruise on the 36 hour drive.

If everyone everyone everywhere bought an ev tonight the dc fast charging network would be overrun, but that is not happening is it? The yt channel “Network Architect” documents new chargers being built. New ones are built every month. DC fast charging can be as expensive as gas, but most of the time most of the people charge their cars at home which is significantly cheaper than fast charging.

Power is measured in Kilowatts. It's the amount of energy the charging station pumps into the battery every second. Energy is measured in Kilowatt-hours. It is equal to the power (in kilowatts) multiplied by the time the battery was connected to the charging station. Hence kilowatt-hours.

I had no idea colors were an extra charge. My wife and I purchased a 2022 XT-5 Sport Platinum that only has 6,208 miles on it. It stays in the garage, protected and sleeping! It’s got every single option you can possibly want. The natural wood trim and the red tint coat are in perfect condition. I just waxed it by hand and that tint coat really sparkles. The only thing I can’t stand is the squealing noise when I mash down on the brakes. I will admit those Brembo brakes and calipers look really good and they stop my XT-5 Sport quickly even at highway speeds with zero fade but dayum…..they’re noisy. I took it to my local Cadillac dealership in Pinehurst NC (Clark Cadillac) and had them replaced. The mechanic told me they didn’t need replacing but I had them do it anyway. I don’t want a squeaky Cadillac! The mechanic said they are excellent brakes but because they’re a much harder brake they can be quite noisy and you can’t get rid of the sound! Overall it’s a beautiful SUV. As for the claim that the 4 cylinder engine is a really good performer…..NO, that turbo 4 banger is way underpowered for such a heavy vehicle. I also have a 2011 SRX Performance Edition and it has the 3.0L VVT V-6. It’s rated at 265-275HP and even that engine is underpowered. I don’t care how many speed tranny Cadillac throws into the mix but a 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder engine is just 🫤. I’d personally like to see around 350-400HP for a $70K + vehicle. No WAY would I ever buy a brand new car due to depreciation values unless leasing options gets better. Interest rates for consumers is ridiculous! I’ve got excellent credit and the lowest rate I could find was 6.2%. That’s just crazy to me. Just a few years ago my wife’s car was purchased at 2.5%. Hopefully interest rates will be going down but it depends on what happens in November.

I was so close to buying a Lyriq but now can’t see letting a charger and a car controlling my life. When the technology gets to super charge in 10 mins I’ll buy. What happens when the battery dies in traffic? You were so close before getting to Mercedes.

Seems like such a nice ride, but really needs at least 100 miles more range before I consider something like this.
@travisburdess1071Ай бұрын
nope.. 300 miles is WAYYYY more than enough. If you are hydrating, you will need to stop every couple hours. plug in, go take care of that stuff and it will have a couple hours more driving ready for you when you get back out to charger. more than that is a waste of resources and you would never need it
@alanbuck92372 ай бұрын
Nice review, but you keep mixing up kilowatts and kilowatt hours in the wrong places. You need to learn the difference. Also, the GM cars are very poor at charging speeds compared to the Hyundai products. I wonder when GM is going to catch up. My Hyundai charges from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes at a 350 kW charger. The GM products take more than twice that long. If they want mass acceptance, they’re gonna have to get the speed up drastically.
