I got a free Level 2 charger to promote on my KZbin. It cost me $1200 to install using a professional. So far it works great. I opted for 2 years free charging from EVgo. That's probably the worst aspect of the car: Public charging. It takes me 7 hours to recharge to 100% at home. It takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to recharge to 100% at the EVgo charger (100KW). I save my grocery shopping for my recharging session and usually grab lunch or dinner during the process. 100 kWh batteries take a decent amount of time.

@@PassportBrosBusinessClass If I was dropping my battery to 1% every day I wouldn't bother getting an EV...charging 7 hours every night isn't realistic. Most people who have EV's plug in above 30%.

#1 There's NO WAY I'd buy anything lower than level 2 trims. Cadillac really disappointed me by dropping the heated/ventilated/ massage seats from the lowest trim. I can understand just having heated seats and heated steering wheel in frigid climates but this car really ought to come fully loaded. There shouldn't be a "cheap trim". These cars should all be loaded. The only relatively unnecessary features are the power moonroof and the 19 KW charger. Many people won't need the 19KW charger because they lack high AMP fuses at home for a line. The moonroof is OK, but the sunroof will do just fine for most.

As a Cadillac owner, I like the look of the Lyriq inside and out. An EV is just not for me at the moment. But someday. That black on black with tinted windows Sport is sweet looking. Make sure to check your VIN for recalls. I know there is at least 3 at the moment.

Love the enthusiasm and curiosity! I definitely didn’t get that vibe from our dealer when we purchased our 23 DE. This is the kind of engagement that Cadillac and GM need to succeed.

he kind of implies that sport 3 trim has a better autonomous driving than a sport 2 trim (or luxury 2 trim).... this is incorrect. they both have the exact same autonomous driving features. Difference between level 3 trim vs level 2 trim is wheel size, rear view mirror camera, hands-free lift gate, optional leather package, and some additional security features (interior motion sensor and incline sensor).

Decided to go for an EV and trade in the diesel truck after my wife has been happy with her tesla for the past couple years, i'm a GM fanboy though so it was a tough call between the blazer and the lyriq. Test driving both didn't make the decision any easier..decided to splurge a bit on myself and get the Caddi, although the Blazer was a VERY close second place.

Nice review! I think the reason the Teslas are so simplistic, design wise, is that they have no designers capable of designing an elegant exterior or interior. Their vehicles are just plain tacky and cheap-looking.

When you enter or exit highway curves, that's when you really feel the weight of this thing and its resistance to turning. 5800 pounds (over 6000 with me in it). It outweighs my 2015 Jeep SRT. A lot of Dodge Owners are not going to be happy about the similarly heavy (dense) Dodge Charger EV.

Cadillac won't make it. The lyriq isn't selling. In fact, no ev s are selling. Too pricey

Great video. I have three questions for you. Number 1: What is the percentage of tint on the front windows? 30%? 2: Does the sport 3 and luxury 3 come with the HUD? or will this feature be an OTA rollout out?. And 3: Is the velocity package available now as a paid OTA option?

We've had a 2009 Cadillac STS, a Cadillac SRX, a Cadillac XT5 and now the Lyriq AWD Lux 3. This is easily the best driving, best riding Cadillac ever - thanks to the inherent properties of EV. The interior is nice enough to be confused with a Mercedes product. Unfortunately it could have used a little more legroom and height. It's definitely better than Mercedes E class and EQS, but I want "S-CLASS" spacing and I'd have to wait for the Celestiq which carries an insane price tag. The one major downside is that the charging infrastructure for non-Teslas sucks. Cadillac gave me 2 YEARS OF FREE EVgo charging. But there's only 2 stalls for EVgo and they are 10 miles away from me. I have to waste 20 miles just going to them. I can charge free at home, but I wanna use my 2 free years first and then do my last year at home. It takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to fully charge to 100% on EVgo at 100KW. It takes up to 8 hours to recharge at home from Low range to 100% but since I'm ASLEEP it's unnoticeable. The first 85% is the fastest. The remaining 15% is the slowest.

I don't know why people think driving EVs are that bad in the winter. I have driven one for 5 years and have had no problem unless I am a person that drives on vacation all the time in the winter. Other than that its just like a gas car.

They are ok. I was concerned about cost and wheel size and spoke pattern can significantly change the cost of the vehicle. It also gives me a reason to look at future models to improve on. So to answer, I can tolerate them but they are not my favourite

How many days will it take to drive to Florida in the Electric Cadillac from your address in Canada? Looks like a Great Exterior IMO! Comfortable as always with a Cadillac? Harder to evaluate until getting inside to check out the interior and seats. Although, I’m still waiting for my ZO6 allocation at my dealership where I got my 2022 2LT HTC Red Mist. I’m now #1 at the South Central PA Dealership for the ZO6 Allocation & actually #1 there for the ZR1 Allocation. By chance in early July of 2023, I was the first person to inquire about the ZR1, which made me first to be contacted about the ZR1 and actually #1 also for the ERAY. Great to see you and I imagine your daughter is getting so big and enjoyed Christmas this year if you celebrate it. Great review as always! Can you hear the trains going by from inside the dealership lol. About time for one to roll by!

It would likely take two day. You have a 350 mile range and can get 150-200 miles each time you stop to go to the bathroom for 20-30 on a DC fast charger
