This is the second time I have heard this song. The first was when it was broadcast in 1986. I had to google 'Loudon Wainwright' 'lyrics' 'colder than a witches tit' to find out what it was called. It's just as good as I remembered. Thankyou for posting it.

Far better than the studio recording of this song. Unfortunately the audio does not get loud enough

Never heard this song before very unique and all the little step things back and sounds and Loudon Wainwright classic brilliance makes this very interesting to watch and laugh in spots. This is not his best song but he is one of our national national treasures.

Love you putting All the loud in stuff out first sings I learned how to play guitar on we’re attempted mustache - got a lot of mileage out of playing ‘ down drinking at the bar’ in the bars of Wisconsin in the 70’s such a simple funny genius and poignant as hell at times ( man who could cry, ono not John )

Prefer the solo rendition of this to the multi instrumental studio version

Rufus sang this too. He should have said I’m a 10 man guy, lol. All in fun…I LOVE Rufus Wainwright! Check out his “Across the Universe” remake. Beautiful voice. Even his “He ain’t Heavy, he’s my Brother” is also incredible.

Fox and Gimbel are great songwriters, but as human beings they are a couple pieces of shit. Anybody with half a brain that analyzes the available information can tell that Lori is the one telling the truth. Nice of Don to recognize her, but it is a bit self serving to acknowledge that Killing Me Softly is about himself.

A very courageous song, if one understands the meaning. Like many of Loudon's songs, they are can be funny and/or heart wrenching. What a great performer songwriter.
