Yup, been there, done that. LOL Only time it was an issue was when the bank was wet and muddy. I've even used a pipe and drove it in the ground by shore where I knew I was pulling back out when done fishing. Then I would toss the rope over the pipe and use it to pull the boat up tight enough to be able to step out without shoving the boat back out on the pond. Good tips Vance. Tight lines buddy.

@fishingwithvance Күн бұрын
Bank wet makes for an additional challenge I agree. I thought about the pipe idea. May still do that. Those small lakes are gems on the PBR so sometimes a little effort goes a long way. Thanks for watching Sam. Hope having a good season. Fish on!

There is no reverse gear, but the engine can rotate 360 degrees. The reason why the handle is tilted back is for reverse.

I think this could be a case of overthinking it. It's carp. You rarely lose one. Any reel that is cheap is fine. Same for Rod.
@fishingwithvance
@fishingwithvance 8 күн бұрын
That is one way of looking at it. For guys that are into Carp fishing, it is a bigger deal. The duel drag system is the entire point of these reels. Bottom line? The Kast King reels failed in a very short time. The okuma didn't and still hasn't. People that don't care cause "it's Carp" are not in the Market for these type reels. Thanks for the comment. Fish on!

By listening to what you are saying, I’m coming to the conclusion that Minnkota sold me a dud motor…… I have a pelican catch 100, powered by Minnkota 55 Endura. It’s powered by a 120 lithium battery. I have two separate small batteries that handles the control panel and the fishfinder and the lights. With all my equipment and the weight of the yak I’m looking at 320/350 lbs and it Max is out at 3 1/2…4 mph…. That really sucks the kind of money you spend on these trolling motors. I have all I the 30..45..55… To be honest with you, there is a difference in those three sizes. I wish Minota would make a strong motor for kayaks because at the end of the day it’s like having a little boat having a outboard.
@fishingwithvance
@fishingwithvance 25 күн бұрын
I can't disagree with anything you said. My original motor 40 years ago was by far the best of the 5 I have purchased. They definitely have a problem with the MAX series. Full disclosure, they provided me with a new head unit on my 44 and so far this season, it has performed perfectly. Hopefully they address this defective head unit issue. Thanks for watching K. Enjoy rest of the season.

How many baits can you rig with the amount you made? How good does this bait stay on the method Feeder?
@fishingwithvance

It should be able to ball up but not too much otherwise it doesn't dissolve in the water. Add more water or more panko depending what it needs. I can bait up four poles 3 or 4 times depending how the bite is going and how much I put on

It actually did fine. I need to bust out the Honda for the next trip. I didn't use the fish finder since I like fishing out of the back of the boat. A lot to learn at that big lake but lots of locals helping me speed up learning curve. That's great about your fishing tube. How is the new boat? By the way, if you still have those FWV shirts, if you wouldn't mind sending me a picture of you wearing it or your boat with the sticker on it, that would be great. One MILLION views celebration video coming up and I would like your picture to be in it. Thanks DT for all the support.
