Lucky enough to see this in October east of San Diego out of light pollution. I saw it with the naked eye in addition to brighter in photographs. They pulsated, they didn't dance. They'd fade in and out of brightness. Extraordinary to understand what I was seeing now. Hoping to see it when the Solar Max peaks in the next couple of months. Thank you!

Why do even your star fields show gaps in the star "trails"? You got a camera problem? Pretty sure the stars aren't doing that. Also, you might be surprised that 40 - 50 TONS of meteorites fall to earth every 24 hours. Satellites don't burn up in the atmosphere all that often.

I could see this from southern OKlahoma that night, at quite a high angle, although my camera could pick it up much better than my eyes. There was also a faint green cast below it... at least it's still 'auroral'

Yes, I’ve seen several satellites, but they all light up white, and when they’re about to disappear, they look red. I only saw the Starlink satellite train once; they weren’t very bright and appeared blue.

This stable red arc is what the October aurora looked like to me in SoCal. It didn’t move, it just faded in and out.

Very cool! I think I saw it at Mt Hood that night as well. But we had a lot of clouds and I was shooting in the other direction so I really didn't keep that much track of it.

First time shooting space & the comet Alpha with my A7r4 & I also saw a train of lights low on horizon to NW moving slower than all the satellites I saw that night. So, satellites sometimes are arranged in a train? My first thought was UFO but quickly realized they're likely satellites. If so, why put them in a train?
