Good job. That's pretty much how we do it here in the shop in OZ, we use Solar Cure it make the nose fast to fix. I dont understand what the benefit of the masking tape is at the start? Seems to me to add an extra step for no reason.

Because of it, his heart literally became an elderly heart. Other than having that euphoric feeling, his elderly heart couldn’t handle the fun & excitement of surfing or any extreme sports anymore. It was quite taxing on his body & that’s the main reason why he stopped free surfing. He only surfed contest because he knew he had to. And his last contest overwhelmed his heart. When he was going home from a contest in Puerto Rico, he had a layover in Texas . He booked a room at a hotel & never woke up. What’s significant about this year & at Puerto Rico, slater won the contest & clinched his 10th championship while Andy already left to go home. I still remember when the news broke out of his passing. The majority of the pro surfers who knew the “why” was deeply impacted by it (pictures in the magazine). Others who didn’t know at the time were baffled & was still wondering the why? It was definitely a sad time in the surf community when the news broke out. RIP

Breath hold is not entirely mental. There is a thing called the breathing reflex which regulates the breathing. People with a weak breathing reflex become great free divers and are more prone to death from opiate overdoses. People with strong breathing reflexes are poor at free diving and have a much higher probability of living a long life.

That first one is GIGANTIC. Is that the new Guinness record? I don’t think he had to bail, if he had aimed a little more toward the beach.

I'm not clear on the the criteria? Are we judging the wave, the rider, or both together? If it's the best big _wave_ ridden, then Soli's wins because it it picture-perfect. If it's the best big wave _ridden,_ then Albee did the best with challenging conditions.

Criteria is best BIG wave ridden. (Big Wave Challenge)

@@surfermag, but are we judging the wave, or the surfer's ride?

I really hate to write this, but some of those waves are just to short of a ride. I think yes they are big but they drop off to less than half the size in a second 🤷♂️
@johnh920010 күн бұрын
Soli's is definitely the most perfect...CGI couldn't get it that perfect. As for ride, Nathan, I think gets it, all three deserve it !!!!
