Man, who cares? Another crazy expensive toy for filthy rich guys in the middle of the desert. Barely anyone is going to be able to afford to surf it. We need more affordable pools in different places.

Yeah surfing has always been kinda expensive to practice but this is just... senseless. At least on the beach you can have fun with an shitty old board - while this wave pool is for millionaires. In the desert...

@@ufapmclike any new technology, it’s expensive. Just a matter of time before it’s refined and people figure out how to make it cheaper and more efficient while also building up demand. Just like the first cars, planes, phones, etc. were only affordable by the rich.

I wonder who built it too? Wonder if Slater is bright enough to realise the contracting and labour practices in this country, although maybe he brought in the people who did his original pool. Notice they charge you by the hour but also ask you for a fee to enter the place too? lol

Its cool the guy gets to run this place and surf it everyday but to say it is all you need and you know its going to be the same everyday is kind of a surfing contradiction. No one wants to be stuck surfing the same thing over and over again, other than to get better at surfing for the actual ocean.

To you. Maybe he doesn't care. Surfing is whatever the person doing it makes it.
