One hundred percent. I think it is a great alternative, more functional, and money saver. Plus if someone wants to later down the road they can buy a streamdeck.

@@ssp_tube if you want a sound to play inside of OBS when someone speaks for the first time you can just add the sound as a source in OBS, then create an action that shows it, has a delay the length of the sound, and then hides it. Set the trigger to first words found under Twitch in the triggers box. Create a queue for walk ons and set this action’s queue to it. It will limit what you can do in comparison to this but it will work. If your audience can’t hear audio from SB you have the output in SB setup wrong. You can also give SB its own audio channel in OBS if you aren’t using a mixer that separates channels outside of OBS. That way you can adjust audio SB plays in OBS. open the C# code in the action, and at the bottom click "Find Refs", then click compile, then click Ok. See if it works then, if not feel free to join the Discord and use the help channel. I will try to figure it out with you. Easier to do when I can have screenshots of what you are seeing on your end. Sorry it isn't working but I will do my best to help you fix it.

@@xTop5_DOA it is on your end, it works for me every stream. Can you think of anything you would or could have changed in either StreamerBot or OBS that would affect? @@SaltandSassGames hard to say but definitely not because you used an app password. If that caused it to not work I wouldn’t tell people to do it. Make sure you have the correct handle in user name. It should have .bsky.social at the end of it. Make sure you aren’t going over the character limit for the post or it does not work. Lastly if you arent using my Live and Revert actions, did you put a trigger on the post action to make it trigger when you go live?

@@geefbird Thanks for the response! I am fairly new to using Streambot so I did in fact miss a few things. My trigger did not work but I do not think I set it up properly. I tried to add your info using the link you added in your bio but it wasn't allowing me to add it. I am most likely not adding it correctly. @@KL4RKE if you leave StreamerBot running all of the time the timer will always be running, you can also select the chat messages requirement and set it to 1 or 2 so that someone has to chat at least once or twice for the message to trigger. Otherwise I’d have to look into it because I am not sure if the other thing I am thinking would work. I will try to remember to report back before next year. See what I did there? lol

I can’t believe I just saw this! Touch Portal has an incredible amount of versatility and right now more than ever with the web view is way beyond a streamdeck. They do have a pretty substantial plug in library most of which you can find on their discord, but the thing is they are community developed so some you have to ask about or for because some aren’t posted. I think that is the short coming with plugins. The last time I looked at Elgato’s plug in library I couldn’t find anything that TP didn’t have too. To be fair though I wasn’t really trying to so they might now.

@@geefbird Since I can't bring myself to half ass anything, I'm now running a minimum of 3 devices. The one I've always used, a Tablet with Hardware monitoring and stream stability/stats and another with video monitor for each stream of multistream. With a little C# in Streamerbot I was able to get it to automatically update the KZbin monitors with the new URL for each new stream. Needless to say I'm loving the flexibility and have more ideas brewing.

I am really glad you are enjoying the application, that was my main hope with promoting this product was that people would check it out and fall in love as much as I did years ago. @@BroadwayNPO you can’t use this without the DLL because it is worked into the code and used to detect the videos codec as well as their duration, but you could use my other setup for pulling videos from folders. The setup would be a bit different than it is in the video but we could run through it on stream or I could help you if you find your way into my Discord. There is a link to that on my Twitch page and some KZbin videos. I’m currently at work or I would find it for you haha.

I mean... this is a stupid question but I have to ask it, you went into Voice Control and created commands right? Because the drop down should list all that you created and if it isn't showing any of them then something is wrong and I would reach out to SB on their Discord. I have never heard of such a bug but maybe they have.

Since it is pulling them straight from the PC the only way to turn them down is to either separate them into their own audio channel using a mixer or the easier route would be to download Audacity (it is free) and open them in their and change their volume level and then re save them to the hard drive.

@@geefbird Yes, the thing is I was randomly recommended this video. I know what a Streamdeck is, I don't know what Touch Portal is. There's no clarification/context early on in the video that it is a mobile app. For the first few minutes I was wondering "this sounds great, is it some amazing new piece of indie made hardware?" and I had to click off the video and google it to get that context.

I feel the same as above. You’re kind of alienating the people you’re trying to convert. Found my self skipping through the video to see if you demo’d it at any point. There should be more demo early on where you show it in use and how it can do the same and more than Stream Deck. People will connect more with that.

@ not really sure how my video would make people feel hostility toward me but definitely not the intention. It is also not my intent to convert anyone, and I said IMMEDIATELY in the video that it is not a tutorial. Converting people is never going to happen because people don’t care if something is better functionally or financially. They are going to keep what they have. More of a video for people who don’t have a stream controller and are weighing their options. I do appreciate the suggestion, and in most cases I show the work and product, however for this particular case the video would have turned into a whole tutorial of me showing myself setting up each thing I talked about and then using it, and I just wanted to make a video talking about the product because I really like and appreciate it. I have said I would be open to making tutorials for the app, so maybe I’ll start with each of the things I list in the video and then place cards in each segment for the setup of each function. I know it isn’t a perfect fix or ideal but hopefully it will be good enough for some. Thank you for watching, and for the criticism I take it constructively always and use it to make better content.

Same for "sliders". I prefer physical faders on a midi device for example that I can find even in the dark with even looking at it cause I can "feel it".

Battery life is kind of a moot point when put up against devices that have to be plugged in at all times, just keep the tablet plugged in at all times. And cool, if you would rather spend hundreds of dollars to have physical buttons over 14 dollars to have way more functionality you do you.

@@LaughingMan_ yea the whole point is to not spend 300 dollars, the people that are going to appreciate cheap, but incredible, options like this are people who don't have 500 dollars to spend on a stream deck and a mixer with faders. Besides you just almost sold this better than I did... Touch Portal can replace 500 dollars worth of equipment for 14 dollars and do the job of 4 different devices and applications. And hey, if that is not for you that is cool. I do hope that you are still using a blackberry and refusing to get a smart phone, I would hate for you to lose those tactile buttons for digital ones and not be able to see the keys without looking 🤣

@geefbird I don't know if you evaluated all options but I paid 100 bucks for my stream deck and 30 for my korg midi controller with faders. I would never pay 500 bucks for this stuff. For 130 I've got enough knobs, faders and buttons that I could ever use.

@geefbird I don't know what you problem with physical buttons is, but you do know that companies right this moment successfully create physical keyboards that you can attach to your iPhone. As if you are the last person on earth to not understand how much better physical buttons are. Why do you still have a keyboard on your pc instead of just a tablet to type on your pc? BC buttons are faster and superior.

Yea... so I went to grab the link and apparently the company that is sselling the tablet took their positive reviews of the product to their head and they have increased the price of it A LOT. It is now almost 300 dollars and on sale for 180. And looking at the other ones that are the same or very similar they have all raised their prices as well... There are still some that are around 60 dollars but they don't come with the keyboard, case, or anything else it seems. Now I feel bad for even bringing it up in the video. Second time that has happened. I have a mechanical keyboard that I got for 60 dollars and gave it a great review, as did many others, then they raised the price to 270 dollars... Going to start telling people things are terrible to keep the prices down lol

@@geefbird Ah! what a shame. I wonder if those manufacturers realize that the only increase the price so much before they start competing with first tier brands. Anyway, i think a "at the time of recording its X price, though that is subject to change" is more than sufficient.

@ yea I think from now on I am going to say that for safety lol. Because I recorded this weeks before I got it uploaded, and for extra safety I might even double check prices on edit day and put a little pop up on screen of the actual ad or price.

I had to look that one up because I hadn't heard of it until this comment. Seems cool enough but a lot more limited than Touch Portal is as far as control over OBS, Twitch, and just about everything else. But if you are also using StreamerBot then you really don't need it to do that much haha. StreamerBot replaces the need for a controller almost entirely.
