I always love the properties you guys feature, but more than that, it's a joy to experience your enthusiasm and sense of wonder as you tour through a property. Lovely couple you two make! We are in the early stages of getting our ducks in a row in preparation for our move to Italy, so the content you provide is invaluable! LovePeace&Light!

Thanks for subscribing. We really appreciate it! And thank you for your positive comments We haven't done too much with regard to property tours but keep watching as you never know we might add some more, in particular a renovation we are just finishing in the historic centre of the charming city of Sulmona. Our main focus is exploring the stunning region of Abruzzo which we hope you are considering as a potential future home. Please take a look at our other channel too @palazzosanbenedetto where we are renovating a medieval palazzo. 😊

That's wonderful to hear that you are visiting Abruzzo thanks to us; feels like we've done our job in promoting this beautiful region. Where will you be visiting and staying? Thank you so much for the aperitivi, very much appreciated and we will raise our glasses to you!

@@ExploringAbruzzo And a PA too?! You are mad 🤪, but deserve the aperitivi even more. We have taken a flat a few meters from the aqueduct in Sulmona for a week next month. Aside from knocking about in Sulmona, we plan to visit Pacentro, Capestrano, and Scanno, along with a couple of family wineries and an olive press. Abruzzo seems filled with beautiful places, many of which you have shown us. However, those I mentioned are at the top of our list.

Lovely to hear from you John, hope you are doing well. We only knew that Gabriele Rossetti himself was born in Vasto not his father too but I guess that would make sense. We did know that Ariana Grande was from the area and our son who is a fan read that she does come on holiday apparently to Abruzzo. I'm sure he'd be over the moon if he were to meet her! We are not up on the Formula 1 drivers so don't know that one will have to do a little research but there is one called Trulli from the Pescara region who has a vineyard in Alanno. Thanks so much for watching. I can't remember about accessing the public health care to be honest. It was a bit difficult at first but I'm actually a EU citizen so maybe that made it easier and then Andrew being married to me although British he got his but we also have our Partita IVA's and do our tax returns each year here so that helps too. When we see our Doctor here in Popoli we just walk in during her surgery opening hours and sometimes it means waiting up to an hour but we always get seen and the healthcare system so far has been brilliant. It look amazing !! The food also ... thank a lot .
@ExploringAbruzzo2 ай бұрын
I cannot remember if we said Dutch bar or not but there are quite a few Dutch people around, we can recognise the accent form afar!!! Capestrano is a great location for both mountains and the sea. We are based in Popoli so not too far and we always say that from where we are it's practically 45 minutes to wherever you want to go in Abruzzo as we can get onto the motorway or SS17 in just a few minutes. That's an important factor to consider, otherwise it takes forever on those windy country roads to get anywhere, particularly in the winter. Happy house hunting and if you need assistance give us a shout!

Italy is incredibly catholic and proud of this historic religion with festivals celebrating it in one form or another in nearly every village, town and city during the year! We've attended some of these festivals and they are just wonderful. At Christmas time there are many 'living' nativity plays in the villages which are just wonderful and Easter... well, what better place to go and visit than Sulmona with the 'Madonna che scappe procession then reinactment. There is a huge community built around the church in all areas here with everyone welcome whether you practice catholicism or not.

If you buy in an Earthquake area can you get insurance so if your house falls down you get cover to rebuild? Or will they not insure?
@ExploringAbruzzo5 ай бұрын
Yes you can get insurance but it's incredibly expensive so most people don't bother. With the L'Aquila earthquake of 2009 property owners with damage received government funding up to around an 80,000 euro threshold for repairs per property/unit. If your property was a cultural heritage property then the government paid the full amount of seismic restoration. Best to buy a property that's had the seismic work done and then you don't need insurance.
