Unbelievable achievement. You believed and now you have achieved! It is actually best to get experience with difficult conditions early in your Captaincy then have them happen a year or two down the track. It will make you a very experienced and competent pilot.
@flyingwithgab28082 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kelsta James! That's kind of the way I'm looking at it. On my current 3 day trip and nothing at all has gone the way it shouldn't:) the key is to never become complacent and think nothing will go wrong today, more, something may go wrong today and the first thing I'll do is stay calm, take a breath, then problem solve using threat and error management

Hi Gab, hope you're doing great mate.. Congratulations on being a PIC now. Genuine content as always. I'll be moving to the US this year in July permanently.. couldn't move in 2020 cause of Covid... will be doing my CPL/IR and the rest.. hoping to join the airlines in the next 4 years.. -Zain

Zain great to hear from you it's been a long time! I'm doing great thanks. Kind of wish I got worked less though so I can be with my family but the most im away would be a 4 day trip which luckily doesn't happen too often. That's excellent you're making the move, definitely a smart choice and you'll be glad you did. Any idea yet where you'll move and start flight training? All the best

everyone is saying you look tired... what's wrong with everyone? why is everyone surprised by this! you are a pilot that will die young because of increased dehydration, etc so not sure why eveyrone is so commenting on this
@flyingwithgab28083 жыл бұрын
I'm fairly certain pilots have studied human factors and aviation health and understand the risks of high altitude flying yet continue to do so despite the risks. The fact remains we will all die one day. Hopefully you had a good life and enjoyed what you did during it:)

Depends which license you're trying to attain. Your local flight schools will be able to give you the most accurate pricing but it could be anywhere from a few thousand dollars to over $100,000

those sunglasses are horribly cheap. there’s absolutely no way you are that excited about those if you are used to legit AO’s or Randolph’s. you aren’t really that giddy about them, right? please tell me you are doing a commercial and don’t actually believe those are anything close to actual aviators.
@flyingwithgab28082 жыл бұрын
Don't knock em till you've tried em. Mind you I broke them too lol at least they're a couple of coffee's worth to purchase. Don't have to feel bad when they drop on the tarmac. I did with the AO's

lol comment disappeared. Just saying that being a pilot is amazing but if you don't care about financial freedom and being broke and paying off a ton of student loan debt (for the next 10 years) then go right ahead lol
@flyingwithgab28083 жыл бұрын
I hold all comments for review but decided to approve your one since I think you have a very valid point. Depending on your circumstances becoming a pilot will leave you in debt for many years and you need to weigh up the pros and cons before deciding to become a pilot. But I can honestly say I'd rather be in a job I absolutely love to do and look forward to every day for 30 plus years than be in one that pays better that I dread. Which btw I've done before. All the best

Great review! I just bought a gold and silver pair of these amazingly priced aviators... I have had several pairs of AO, but like you I get clumsy or forgetful and it so painful when I lose or drop/break a pair... plus AOs have gotten well over $200 for polarized true gray lens models!

Great explanation throughout the video. Being a twin engine complex aircraft, there is obviously a lot more going on here than your average single engine trainer. Would love to see more videos like this one, thanks
@flyingwithgab28083 жыл бұрын
Your first time flying a twin will make you feel you're hanging on only by the tail but you'll quickly get used to its complexity and speed. I had built a twin engine simulator panel for FSX when I did my multi ifr tracking and that helped immensely:) unfortunately I don't have any more lite twin engine content, my flying experience was mostly all single engine aside from multi IFR rating and a few renewals before I came to the airlines and my airline and the FAA doesnt allow recording of video in the aircraft when flying.

Hi, I wanted information on the legacy, we intend to buy one, but in Europe and Italy many fields are 2000 ft and in the grass, I have read that many lancair have problems with failure of the nose gear, do you think it is possible to operate on these tracks or what are the conditions according to your experience. Thank you very much if you reply to my email [email protected]
@flyingwithgab28083 жыл бұрын
Ciao. Unfortunately I only went up in the legacy that day so cant comment however regular maintenance will unfortunately be part of aircraft ownership. Buying the plane isnt the hard part. Keeping it is. I'm sure there is a Lancair forum. Try lancairtalk dot net :) good luck
