Pigeon peas are great plants. I have had success with freezing fresh peas after I shelled them. Also, you can let them dry in the pod, then shell them and store them in a jar. Just make sure they are completely dry.

At least a year in the freezer. Usually, dried peas and beans can last for 3 or more years dried.

They did good. Have the trellis ready! I waited too long before putting my support in. Some of the growth snapped off while I was trying to train them onto it. This year I'll be prepared. Happy Gardening!
