Dear GAC, I hope you’re feeling much better…. I too am recovering from Covid. I tried to do some painting tonight but my hands are shaky for some reason and I dropped my dotting tool and got acrylic paint all over a new tee. But your magic mushroom has definitely cheered me up! Thank you, my love❤

OH, and...adding the deeper value of the purple around the cap was perfect - it brought the mushroom forward, it was no longer part of the background but stood on its own!

Oh, no! I’m so sorry to hear you had Covid! I came down with it for the first time late this past winter. It made me feel exhausted for two weeks and then gradually less exhausted for about a month. Fortunately I did not have any of the other uncomfortable symptoms. I loved your painting when it was “finished” and then I really loved it after you added the vines. I would never have thought to do that, but it was just what your delightful little painting needed!!

Thank you so very much for sharing your art and techniques. It is perfect for me and my brain. I was diagnosed with adult onset epilepsy 12 years ago. I am 73. It is controlled by meds but I have suffered from anxiety and depression off and on in my life. Intuitive art, abstract and neurographics really helps me and I feel so great when creating. You are such an experienced artist, I guess you could use a large brush for the background and only apply minimal pressure when filling in the small spaces. Your foliage is so beautiful, thank you for showing how you painted it 🥰

Ça me rappelle un souvenir de ma jeunesse. Mon grandpère s'était fabriqué un grand poteau de bois avec lequel il brisait les glaçons accrochés au toît d'une rangée de maisons où nous vivions. Lorsque les glaçcons fondaient, ils pouvaient tomber sur les piétons et grandpère ne voulait pas que ce soit dangereux pour nous. Ahhh la nostalgie.

I apply salt just when the watercolir wash loses its sheen. It shows up nest in dark colors.
