I have an unopened vampire blood from that kit. Evidently, they sold the blood separately.🤗👍 Love your videos.👍

They did sell it separately. If I remember right, it would stain your skin.

"The time to buy it is when you see it." The motto of every toy collector, lol. Love the vampire kit cardback. Huge vampire fan, always have a set of plastic fangs. Fun fact: when I was a kid I wanted to be Robin the Boy Wonder... or a vampire. Still do 🧛

Cackleberry is awesome! I miss the store that was right next to it called Seiter and Son Holiday decorations. They sold lots of awesome blow molds. Thats where my wife and I bought out Bela Lugosi Dracula blow mold NOS along with several others.

Nice catches on the Eye-ball & the Vampire kit! I remember those items fondly from my teen years! Great catches! And a shoutout to The Showcase in Seekonk! I used to live about 3 miles from there. Did you see the Essolube Dr. Seuss tin? Very cool!

28:41 Back in the early 1970s there were no Avon parties. It was door-to-door sales by painted-up women. When you heard the doorbell unexpectedly it was either Avon or Jehovah Witnesses. 29:36 Just last month I saw a giant 4-foot tall box containing a USPS Mail truck with a postal worker costume at Target! It cost over $100. What kid will play mailman enough to justify a $100+ purchase? [Price Correction: $269 in store or free shipping]

23:25 Valentines Day in elementary school during the late 1960s / early 1970s were actually all inclusive. I recall a couple of teachers saying "bring one for everybody" or being handed a mimeograph sheet of paper with the names of every kid in class, but it was the packaging that made it all inclusive. You had to buy a box with around 30 valentines inside. Back then I had no desire to save unused valentines. Just like with Wacky Packages stickers the whole point was to put them on binders, locker doors, lunchboxes, etc. The most stressful part, for me, was picking out which kid got which Valentine. I gave the mushy cards to pretty girls. I gave the least loving cards to the kids I didn't want to like me. I feared getting a romantic Valentine from the creepy girls. After a year or two I threw away received valentines cards when the kids weren't in my class the next year. I didn't need paper affirmation. I was the class clown so smiles and laughter were all I needed. Since so many Valentines survived I guess a lot of kids clung to them for affirmation during times they got depressed. I just loved the puns and wordplay with the artwork! ❤

20:30 What makes my heart sink and I feel a lump in my gut is when I order something super rare on eBay, like a sealed toy from the 1950s or some fragile monster gas station glass from the 1960s, and the seller packages it like the delivery service is going to keep the box in an upright position and gently lay it down. Or when they send vintage magazines or comic books in a bubblewrap envelope with no cardboard support. The carriers just fold those broad envelopes in half and wedge them in mailboxes. It's easy to get your money back by returning the damaged item, but knowing something survived in immaculate condition for more than 70 years only to be destroyed by brainless packagers is like extremely painful for me to look at. Like identifying a mangled body of someone you knew. 😢😢

You guys need to stop at Sines 5 & 10. They have been owned and operated by the Sine family for over 100 years. Everything in it is original to the store. They have a great lunch counter with the original Hire's Root Beer barrel on it! They sell all retro things, including toys and candy. You'd love it.

As a kid growing up in the 1960s, George Reeves will always be my Superman. All the Supermen after him have just been pretty boys and some can't even ride a horse correctly. Too soon?

That little alien you spotted was one of the "Earth Invaders" by the JH Miller company. 1950s. I have a bunch of these things, and there are many more. Great designs! They're made of a waxy plastic that reminds me a little bit of the "Mold a Rama" figures that used to be injection molded on the spot in coin op machines at fairs and amusement parks. Hope that was helpful. Your channel is fantastic! I always look forward to seeing what you find on your travels... cheers.

I was a KISS dealer at the old Kiss expos for years so I can spot fake Kiss stuff a mile away....the printing was off,the signatures were fake...I also own an original so it makes it easy when you have one to compare it to but it was way off.

Christopher Reeve is my Supes. Did watch a helluva lot of George Reeves when I was a kid. Hyped for the new movie! That first store was awesome. Lotta love and care in how it was set up. It was so beautifully displayed, I immediately assumed it was pretty pricey, lol +1 haven't seen any Harry Potter movies nor read the books. A couple of work colleagues are MASSIVE HP fans and have been trying to get me to watch the movies for ages. They just can't comprehend that I have less than zero interest in Hogwarts and shit haha

I haven’t visited those Qtown antique stores in forever. Rinky Dinks is new. I saw some trolls I’d like. Little story about the Bush Hotel, it made the news years back for being a house of horrors. Condemned in 21 for roach & bed bug infestations. Was hoping they knocked in down. But owned got around it
