AMOLAD really didnt get the appreciation it deserved back on its initial release. Id definitely say its my favourite of the post 2000 albums. Some absolute killer tracks like this one on there, the longest day, these colours dont run and lord of light. I find it blairing through my headphones a lot at the gym as its definitely one of the best albums to lift weights to. UP THE IRONS

Nobody has a style that stands out as much as Steve Harris on bass. I think it was the way he doesn't use picks he plays with two fingers constantly moving on his right hand. I think Jason newsted was close to his style but still pales in comparison.

I love the way that Paul imitates Sting here with the "ee-ohs" in "Drifter". Oh, and the concert is great, too!

Those bass lines proves that Steve Harris is the greatest heavy metal bass guitar player (after Cluff Burton of Metallica who died in 1986), and one of the best bassists worldwide. His two-finger galloping technique in so unique and makes him one of the most influencial bass guitar players today. All bass guitar players should follow the traces of Steve Harris. An example for all bassists today and tomorrow.
