I made three attempts yesterday to add a comment here. Every time something when wrong. Unfortunate distractions mostly. And now? Well, now I can't remember what I wrote, & any attempt to reproduce it fails. To add to that, today I can't express my thoughts coherently. Not in a way which would do justice to those of yesterday. So I'll simply say, I enjoyed it very much so thank you once again. I'm sorry you are under the weather & I hope it passed soon. It certainly wasn't noticeable in the audio. You seriously underestimate yourself in case of those cozy, non-threatening videos :) One of my favorites of yours is the one where you save us in space from a cryo sleep (the one with taping the glass of the pod). One Last Ride is a very cool example of a cozy, safe but very unsafe one :D Your most popular video is the one where you service the X25 android... With your voice, acting and talent for picking the background sounds, I bet you can make almost any normal slice of life nice to listen to ;)

I was surprised that this was 20 minutes long. It felt much shorter, but in a good way. Like I got lost in the sounds and words you weaved together. Also, there's something very compelling about a machine as God essentially creating us, a human. A lot of media has the first phase of humanity creating AI, a much more powerful entity than us but one which we also see as almost our child, as humans were its creator. But then that kid grows up and becomes the parent. It's interesting when the result of that dynamic change isn't a violent push towards extinction, but more like what we hoped the relationship between us and AI would be - servile and controlled. It's just an interesting point to focus on in the progression through the cycle of God creates humans, humans kill humans, humans kill God, humans become God.

Ooooh I love how Mother sustains that every development in technology inevitably led to her! Just yesterday I was talking to my brother about how much I love the idea of causality. You can trace a single dotted line of events and consequences from the most distant moments to literally being here commenting this. In Mother's case, you could argue that she was meant to take control from the very moment some hominids created tools. I find that equally scary and fascinating. Also, in a sort of meta-narrative sense, I find it funny that the listener is meant to be The Chosen One™; however, every person who listens to this is an instance of the them. I wonder if Mother foresaw all the different Chosen Ones heh. Hell, you could even say that any time someone listens to this, Mother is recreated--kept alive--again.
