@@WhisperingShadowsASMR I forget where I heard it it, but someone once said that good sci-fi provides social commentary on modern society. Lasers, robots, and faster than light travel are all fun concepts, but you need some sort of human commentary to make it really appealing. I have no doubt human enhancements would be a major issue that is hotly debated in modern society.
