I am on the Gold Coast and found I believe this type growing in a pile of wood chip mulch as very similar aspects I didn't get much colour from cutting the root stem area maybe a bit dry. They smell nice mushroom smell. How do you cook them butter and salt fried and what should they look like. I was going to cook half small today then if ok a full small one tomorrow property cook up a couple of days later if all OK

How'd it work out? Do you need 15psi for contams, or did it work just being boiled? How long did you boil for, 3hr to pasteurize or less for hydration?

Hi, nice Taro collection, but I have a few questions. -How would I go about removing the juice from the fruits in the roots of my snakeskin lilies? I’ve been told they taste really good when cooked, but if I eat the juice or seeds it can give you food poisoning. I need some advice. -I have noticed some of my other lilies have them too, but I’m not sure if they’re edible and how to eat them. A list of edible ones and preparation steps would be ideal. Thanks.

This is awesome! Was this far from the ocean? And would you describe the soil as more clay, loam or sandy under the mulch? I know the sunshine coast can be quite varied.

It’s fine to handle them. You can even chew a little piece to check the flavor, but you have to spit it out.
