The words Kyrie Eleison, translate to “God have mercy”. He was quite literally pronouncing a blessing over these young people. A prayer, if you will. For God’s protection. And God’s mercy. Richard, Page and most of the guys of the band are believers. I wonder if anyone in the audience realized what was happening. Incredible.

Best song on this album. Incredible guitar work on this. The Southern Sons version is also awesome. Virgil Donati also played in the band Taste. They put out two albums. Tickle Your Fancy in 76 and Knights Of Love in 77. I prefer side two of the State album. More AOR. Less hi tech Pop Rock. Best from the Netherlands.
