awful editing / direction. "You" are trying to convince me that this is THE product. so look direct into the camera, not look off at an angle, it makes your presenter look cross eyed. So you do not recommend Sandtex paint directly applied to bricks? WTF! How many times have I seen exactly that - presumably therefore not using Sandtex products?

For anyone thinking of using Sandtex I’d say go for it but with a couple of caveats. I’ve just finished 180sqM of very rough pebbledash and given it two coats to go from cream to white. Great coverage, good opacity and with about 5% water added lovely to work with. Its one disadvantage in comparison with Dulux Weathershield is that Sandtex has a longer drying time with Dulux going showerproof within 30 minutes and Sandtex taking at least double that. Apart from that they’re as good as each other I’ve found although Sandtex retail paint is much less expensive. I couldn’t in good conscience however recommend anyone buy the Sandtex Trade which is over £1/litre more expensive than the Sandtex retail paint and I’ve never seen a difference between the two. So long story short Sandtex retail at about 30 quid for 10 litres from Screwfix is an absolute bargain and will do a great job for anyone.

I used this product on my garden wall that I rendered myself with some shortcomings in the finish. Sandtex High Build with the special roller created a consistently textured finish and greatly improved appearance. I recommend it.

This lighthouse was last painted in June 2009 using Sandtex X-Treme X-Posure, so after 9 years it needs a recoat - had the red faded, the paint film failed, some other reason? As this product states it offers 20 years protection.

I used this product to coat a DIY wall rendering with shortcomings in the finish. It provided a much improved look. The product is a lot harder to apply than this video makes out but it is good that a niche specialist product like this exists.
