Nice review, I think I'll give the Every King a read. I read the book powerless last week and really enjoyed it. Solid 4 stars. The book takes heavy inspiration from the hunger games and at times felt cliche like the trials were rushed. A week later and I don't really recall characters names nor everything that happened however the ENDING of the book is stuck in my mind. I was literally thinking about the ending for three days straight, and I still am. Its such a cliff hanger and I need the next book now haha. :D

In the beginning of the book, i already noticed that this author drank from the source of The Hunger Games, mainly Red Queen. That bothered me, but, i decided t continue the book

it’s actually not spicy at all, so if that’s what you’re looking for i wouldn’t recommend it. as someone who likes romance but not spice, i found it perfect :)

I got it from a book box but I just check a few places like Mercari which is a second hand book resell app and you can pick up this cover there. Good luck friend and happy hunting 😉

Is there a lot of killing in the book? I really want to read it, but since it gets compared a lot to the hunger games I'm scared the plot will revolve around killing and violence
