Found your channel, saw the MD flat bike, had to keep digging. I haven’t done a track day and don’t know that I will for quite some time- but this is awesome to watch.

@@FergFactoryRacing Sounds good! Glad to see you moving to more western tracks! For some reason it looks a little different but it's probably because of PTSD about UMC... I was there for a full perimeter track day and crashed on turn 5! After lunch some guy lost the side cover on his engine (he'd seemingly forgotten to put the screws back in after working on it), the cover came off leaving a line of oil that he crashed on. When I came around to the yellow flag I see him already at the wall wheeling his bike away so I commit to the corner as usual and lose the front on the oil... Track medics thought my shoulder was broken, luckily only a 10mm separation but I haven't been back on the bike since. No reason other than life changes since healing and haven't put money towards the hobby.

I saw that you qualified at The Ridge. Big time credit to you for making it on to an AMA Pro grid.

Good race. A couple things. It's a bad habit to look back, try not to do it. If you miss a corner it's kind of understanding, but learn to use a bit of rear brake to tight up your corners, just don't over do it and lock it up. This will allow you to exit better and get back on the throttle sooner. You were very smart to not be in a hurry to pass some of those sloppy riders, as they are very unpredictable. Lastly, try not to react to the track, but instead predict the track and KNOW it your mind. Watch how Cameron Beaubier rides. Very neutral riding position. He doesn't over extend himself outside the bike because he knows that's wasted movement that takes too much time, which slows your lap time. It may feel cool to lean excessively off the bike, but data shows this isn't always best. Just move a little side to side, not too much. You want to slide across the seat NOT lift off the seat. Lifting unloads the rear tire a bit and destabilizes the bike, which can be very dangerous in some situations.

Out of curiosity how would you compare the old r6 to the new one since you raced both ?

Ashley, are there any channels you can recommend that are like yours, but for women? My wife and I are looking for practical, real life, wearable fashion advice for her. Thank you!

Not bad. But every time you look back, you’re getting off the throttle and giving up distance -just keep going.

Freakin sweet video man! Loved the videography! Well made. Is there a science to how much lean one can utilize on a sportbike? Ive been riding a 2007 Yamaha R6 for a few months now. Have about 1000miles under my seat and pushing for more experience but I hsve noone to trach me but my own trial and errors and experimentation. Any videos or help is highly favored and valued. Thank you for sharing this awesome video! Much love and new sub!❤🏍👍
