You don’t have to remove the front bumper/fascia or headlamp assemblies, unless you’re troubleshooting multiple HID and LED replacement bulbs that are NOT working. I would probably check out any headlight fuses first, and maybe even check the wiring to the lights. RS package halo-equipped headlamp assemblies aren’t cheap… If you need an entire one or a set, I suggest find some nice, low mileage salvaged ones. If you use a restoration kit or restore the headlamps yourself, use some form of a clear coat spray (acrylic is best) on them before reinstalling. This will keep them from oxidizing again, as the plastic lenses have been exposed directly again, and will need a protective shielding of some sort for long term protection.

This is one of the first LED light mods I did, and I figured it would just directly swap with the built-in HID ballasts. I don’t think any DxS light bulbs are halogen and/or incandescent, so that works out too. On another note, I actually got some 6000K white PH24W(Y) LED bulbs to swap out for the factory reverse light bulbs. The whole rear bumper/fascia does have to come off, so try to go with a reliable brand (even though there aren’t many selections).

Installed cheaper Amazon LEDs on my rig a few months ago just to see if I like them. Holy moly these things are amazing. It was like somebody made my old eyes young again. I’m going to order some GTR Ultra 2s now. Just make sure you check the aim of your lights. These things are not as forgiving as halogen for oncoming traffic.

Cheap bulbs are trash, hid or led. A bulb wouldn't burn out in a week (assuming ballast is decent and no electric shorts) You can outperform the best led bulbs, with the quality bulbs on the market

My Escalade has them OEM. I replaced my HIDs with brand new ones after one burned out. Wasn’t spending $100 for 1 at AutoZone so I bought a set for $50 online. Burned out in 4 months. I think it’s time for LEDs.

Digital Octopus just came out with their version of this. It almost looks identical but I’m not sure if it’s compatible with the HUD. I almost want to get this model just to be safe, but I’m not a fan of mix matching for when I get my radio from them
