Tout mon respect va à la mémoire de François Chalais qui a interviewé les plus grandes pointures du cinéma Hollywoodien, celles de devant et derrière les caméras. Sans rire, on peut dire que son CV est en béton... 🙂👏

One of my favorite scenes in a movie. The way I view this scene as Escapism and a break from work. Sometimes when we often feel down, we all have a place to go escape for an hour from reality. He's in his happy place.

Gary's French sounds very good, he talks in French in Design for a living. I wish I could understand what he said in this video :( it looks like he said something like "thanks, although I didn't talk"
@zoey.y.y3 жыл бұрын
He said "c'est même pas la peine d'en parler" but there's two ways to understand that in french. Either he wanted to say "don't mention it" as a way to say "you're welcome" or he wanted to sound annoyed by saying "yeah whatever, I don't wanna talk". Hope it helped 😉

The funniest part was when Billy Wilder said "Some people talk all the time, but say nothing", and Gary Cooper smirked. It looks like Cooper knew what was going on. His face reveals subtle emotions at key points in the conversation.

On May 7, 2021, it is the one hundred and twentieth anniversary of his birth. On May 13, 2021, it is the sixtieth commemoration of his death. Gary Cooper was a favorite actor of my grandfather and I. We loved The Virginian, Desire, Ball of Fire, The Westerners, Dallas and many more. Few actors have such an amazing filmography.

Great scene from a great movie that needs to be rediscovered by current audiences. I think this is one of the best introductions to a character I've ever seen in a movie.

If only he could see ahead to his remarkable future life. Oh Gary, why did you smoke?
@Ionlydategoodgirls3 ай бұрын
Cigarrettes helped him not to succumb to his hunger... in other words, he smoked to keep himself in shape. He was a tall guy (6'3 or 6'4 i guess) and if it weren't for the cigs he would have been probably a Big guy and if he was a f@t man he would not have made it in Hollywood and You wouldn't have cared about him

For me he was made from the same mould as Rock Hudson and Gregory Peck three beautiful and handsome men.
@avocate20173 жыл бұрын
When I see Hudson or Peck in their movies, I can see a resemblance to Cooper from certain angles, but I think Peck is more similar to Cooper. Apparently, he was called the second Gary Cooper back in the day. Both Hudson and Peck had the same coloring (dark hair and brown eyes), but Cooper had much lighter coloring and a leaner face and body than they did.

I still believe that my soft toys will show care for me the way the little puppet does for Jerry. I love Jerry's films because they are a combination of hilarity, surrealism, inventiveness and whimsy, like my artwork, and it's a treat to connect with those things that rarely exist in the world, which is pretty grey.
